A moment of tense hope passes, and Elina observes the single runemote and the figures of her four captors filing into the far end of the room, and from her sight. Only the softly glowing key remains, lying a body length away from her reach on the cold tile floor.

Elina's stock model is Emily at ~Feathered-pics , who used the backing of a wooden chair and a floor lamp to simulate the cage bars in these pages. She did a great job channeling frustration, too.
