***********************************************

A moment of tense hope passes, and Elina observes the single runemote and the figures of her four captors filing into the far end of the room, and from her sight. Only the softly glowing key remains, lying a body length away from her reach on the cold tile floor.

***********************************************

Elina's stock model is Emily at ~Feathered-pics , who used the backing of a wooden chair and a floor lamp to simulate the cage bars in these pages. She did a great job channeling frustration, too. Elina seems to have a lot of that in these pages... If you like what you see, please let her know. Thanks, Emily!

Enjoy!

This angle appeals to me.

It's a trap... but I do like how dishevelled Elina's hair is looking here.

"Hey, Bozo! Yer shirt tag's sticking out! It says 'Made in Port Sessen.' You cheapskate..."

Hm.. looks like if Elina's going to get that key, she's going to have to pull some sort of "McGyver" (or however it's spelled) stunt...

I like Elina's hair here with that weird little would-be wavy thing it always does around the bottom...

Maybe she'll even pull a "Macgruber," and Port Sessen has been the "unfashionable part" of the realm ever since that infamous Mermaid Shoes incident...

Thanks for the compliment. The hair was a lot of fun to draw. For that matter, Elina's hair is in general an enjoyable part of the process, "flippy tails" and all.

"Elina breathes a long sigh of relief and thanks the gods as the off-key singing fades into the distance. For the past three hours, her undead warders had sung "The Monster Mash" over and over, occasionally breaking up the pattern with a jerky flat-footed rendition of "Thriller". By the 354th repetition, Elina was sure she was about to go mad. "It was a graveyard smash", she mutters to herself, as they shuffle off out of sight..."

Looks like our scribe is planning a little sumpin'! But we all know how that turned out for all our other heroines, don't we...
