For more information on the entire series, read the "'Demon's Due' Defined" journal entry here. faile35.deviantart.com/journalβ¦Well, we begin this chapter with our heroine (okay, she's a witch and a murderess with lots of blood on her hands, but still...) fleeing into the Undercellar after a bad encounter with a Scholar, a Swordsman, and a Bucket of Water. Recognizing that her dripping clothing would leave a trail her pursuers could follow, Annalae removes her skirt and corset (?) and pushes deeper into the maze-like catacombs, past an exit she hoped to take to the surface, now blocked by a massive fire that lights the room behind her.
Note, November, 2009: Uh, Jeff, apparently Annalae already discarded her skirt back in the last chapter... faile35.deviantart.com/art/Bar⦠. Go back and change that one, will you? This plot is already so convoluted it's like "Pirates of the Caribbean" on speed...

Hey, glad to see you're updating these again, I know personal life gets in the way of hobbies some times, but I love a good story.
While your plot and artwork remain excellent, I can't help but think theres one aspect where it seems like you're getting a little lazy (I cringe as I write this because my intention is not to insult). Part of the reason the "Rats in the Cellar" chapter is still my favorite it because the gremlins manage to divest the heroinne of an entire set of armor. The further along we go, however, the less the pretty ladies seem to be wearing, until we've reached the medieval equivalent of bikini's and lingerie. (a wet shift? seriously?)
But I realize you might be sacrficing long, complex bondage scenes for quicker plot advancement, so I guess I can live with it...plus, I can always cross my fingers and hope Elina gets into trouble...

Still looking a bit disaranged from her last encounter. Seeing the look on her face, there seems to be some mind blowing occurences taken place inside her pretty head. I hope she snaps back in time, although maybe there is even something more disastrous down her road.

Finally, "Demon's Due" is back! And what better start than with a drenched, flimsily attired lovely young woman lost in a dark and creepy maze where all manner of things might go abind...

And you went with "Catcall" as a title, eh? Hmmm . . . what'll be the double meaning this time, I wonder . . . ?
Maybe one meaning is simply a reference to her catcall-inducing state of dress . . . and the other a hint of her cat-powers somehow freaking out? Maybe she'll try to recreate the Catshade, "calling" it to her? Or maybe the cats will now turn on her. Or something.
Anyway: A great big underground fire? Is she under the collapsed inn, or did someone in Bad Guys Inc set it to prevent pursuit?

"You're welcome," Lord Van said to Lord Faile, then grabbed the slender wrist of a passing barmaid. "Come here, wench," he growled, and pulled the copper-haired, freckled beauty into a tight embrace.
"Unhand me!" she demanded, in a husky whisper, as His Lordship's strong, manly hands ripped open her blouse and bodice with savage force, exposing her pale, perfect breasts. "I hate you!" she huffed... and they kissed.
Finally, after an eternity of wet, slurping tongue-wrapping and lip-smacking, Lord Van thrust the maid away. "Another Bud Light," he demanded, "and some onion rings."
"Cad!" the maid accused, as she straighted her blouse. She then hurried away to place his order at the bar. "This bodice is going on your tab," she called back over one smooth, freckled shoulders.
"I love this Applebee's" Lord Van chuckled as he finished his beer.
