This is the third of four quick-style drawings I did in a collaboration with Cindy, ~reacherfan . She has posted the story on her account, and you can find it here:

Again, if someone wants to digitally color these, I'm all in favor of it. Please just send me a link so I can rave over the results.

Enjoy!

Those are some damn fine workers right there...You going to hire them in place of the gremlins? These are apparently more efficent!

Quite efficient! But then, these are more like machines than living organisms with a potentially lazy, self-serving outlook on life like the gremlins.

So lets start the alliance now! All hail our robot overlords

Yeah this one is very similar to the 80's workout girl trapped by, I think, mice. Still very nicely done.

I accept this one to color. I'll add it to my folder to later tackle at some date. I'll let you know if/when I get somewhere.

I love these little guys - sort of a cross between the trilogy of Terror Zuni doll 7 the skeleton from Puppet Master... that knife looks like it can help with removing the clothing (hint, hint)...

The victim is quite expressive... awesome as usual...

It's interesting, part of my inspiration for this idea comes from the 2nd "Trilogy of Terror" movie. There's a part where the damsel is attacked by the Zuni doll in her office, and she tries to fight him off with a small knife. At some point it gets knocked behind a piece of furniture, and she struggles to reach it.

Hehe, well don't worry. Despite her best efforts, her knife will sit there, glimmering in the light, just beyond her grasp. Having it in her grasp will be an impossible dream...

I catch the movement in the corners of my eyes, see them carrying on in the shadows in the wee hours of the night.

Deviltry and mayhem are not allowed in my place (...unless it's my idea), so they keep the truce and walk on through. But I know their little king is just waiting for the day I drop my guard. HA! Not gonna' happen.

True, but I'd need the offspring of Cerberus and a rabid English wolf hound, because they barbecued my German Shepherd, left his bones scattered all across the kitchen floor.

...Little bastards, they didn't even save me any.

Hehe, I am indeed...that little knife, that has been in her reach so many times before. She knows its touch, how it feels to have the weight of it in her grasp, the cool metal against her fingertips. Now, when she truly needs it to defend herself, it sits there, just beyond her grasp, no matter how hard she struggles.

Indeed - faile35 did a wonderful job of taking the perspective in my story, and transferring it here. You can imagine the short distance, and yet you can really feel the futility of it all.

Fantastic drawing. Her expression is incredible!

I'm afraid I spotted another mistake. According to the story, the gremlins mummify her using both fishing line and packing tape, while in your drawing there's no tape. Not yet, at least.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

faile35 In reply to SirJerryLone [2009-03-23 13:30:03 +0000 UTC]

A-ha! The mistake is not that there is no tape, because there is. Check out her left wrist. The problem is that it is too thin to be packing tape, which is generally a couple of inches wide (instead of one). Rather than being a real error, that was just artistic license--strips of tape that wide didn't look right on the picture when I was drawing it, so I shrunk them down to masking tape width.

Thanks!

SirJerryLone In reply to faile35 [2009-03-23 14:00:44 +0000 UTC]

I see. Maybe these gremlins do prefere using several coils of scotch tape, instead.
