Description Pen and Ink. 11" x 14" (28 cm x 34 cm). About 34 hours.

At last, I have completed the follow-up for The Mouse Trap . Here we see the victorious mice planting the flag of victory on our poor 80s-garbed aerobics chick--I assume that's some kind of straw serving as the mast, with a lump of cheese serving as the stand in the center of her chest. And, yes, I did use the photograph of the American G.I.s planting the U.S. flag on Iwo Jima as a reference--I hope no one need take offense at that...

I tried to keep this true to the "storyline" and geographics of the first one, with the table at her lower right, so that from this vantage point (through the doorway visible in the first one) we can see the table legs. Obviously, the Mice of the Rising Sun have been hard at work, and now get to surround, guard, and cheer over their captive.

What's next? Well, while I have another image in mind, I'm certainly open to ideas.

Enjoy!

I was perusing Manara's Gullivera the other day and an idea occurred to me for a follow-up here. I don't think it'll be a strictly-ink piece though--they take me too long. Thanks for the interest!

I love this kind of thing. I do like the "not so nice, mice" version. Keep up this fun work

What about a version with a 1940's calendar girl and instead of mice, the hillbilly A. Flea from the old WB toon An Itch in Time?

How about a variation with a 40's-garbed lingerie model and the toon characters of A. Flea from the old WB toon An Itch in Time?Β

Love this image! The rope in her mouth is a great touch. I agree with Hulkfan about her new captors moving her somewhere more secure. Here's hoping a part 3 is on its way

This is starting to look like a metaphor of Chinese revolution over their commucapitalist thug leaders.

Think she should be used as mouse transport. They could tie a box to her back and ride in it.

Great work. I loved this drawing. I'll look forward to the next chapter. But, the question remains. Now that they have captured her, what will they do with her? Maybe they could elevate her, place her on a cart, secure her and transport her somewhere. Then they could chain her up and let her there as their prisoner.

Thank you! Your suggestion is close to what I had in mind. Assuming the mice have some rudimentary understanding of human behavior (which would make sense based on the whole "flag-raising" thing), they might get her thirsty and pop some sleeping pills in her drink, and move her somewhere else. Hopefully when "Demon's Due" is complete I'll be able to return to this and do some more, because these images are a lot of fun for me. Thanks again!

You are very welcome. I give credit where credit is due. And you are a very talented artist. I would like to take a stab at writing a story around your "The Mouse Trap" & "The Mouse Trap 2" drawings. I kinda got the beginning figured out. Its the what happens next that got me stumped. I'll let you know if I figure anything out.

I just found this drawing and your work.
Awesome.

Drat!

The little guys won.

I would like to see a "violent turn". She gets stripped and when the mice think they have her where they want her......she breaks free and goes on a mouse stopping spree. Barefeet covered with mouse entrails, etc.

But that's jus me..

Thanks again for this work.

Billy

Thanks a bunch! I'm glad you like it. And, as you'll see in my gallery, the little guys usually win, although I know that such is not the fare that most giantess fans like. Thanks for your comment!

I love BOTH of these pics! BRILLIANT!!

I don't, though, understand why the Japanese flag.

faile35 In reply to BondoFox [2009-12-14 08:09:51 +0000 UTC]

Thanks a ton! The flag is a version of the Japanese "Rising Sun," which, if you look carefully, you will note contains a mousehead symbol instead of a round disc in its center. The "Rising Rodent" instead of the "Rising Sun," I guess.

you did say that was a mouse head on the flag not a sun right? So if this is true, would that make 'em "the mice of the rising head"? :wow!think about that for a little while). . . that would exlpain alot of things

Man~~~~ both Mouse pictures are so amasing I can easily understand so many people love it!! So creative, fun and well made <3
In this one we can even seen more of the organization of the Mouse arm!! While most of the "troops" celebrate the rising of the flag, the ones closer to the girl mount guard! Amazing!!
