My entry for 's Fakemon contest...... Details below......
Name: Xatua Type: Psychic/flying
Abillites: Synchronize, Guidance (raises team's evaison after using a two-turn or prolonged attack. Ie: Fly, Future Sight, etc)
Name origin: Wtih Xatu and Natu, the 'Atu' part of the name is a word in Samoan legends meaning 'first man' (it is also the name of an Aztec god). So 'Atua' is also a Samoan word (at least, acording to Wikipedia) that refers to a God not of human origin. The 'X' in both Xatu and Xatua is thought to stand for 'exotic'.
Height: 6.5 Weight: 72.3 lbs.
Pokedex entry one: It has achived both and enlightenment and focus from training with an Absol. Together, the two work together to prevent disasters.
Pokedex entry two: It has worked for many years to perfect it's visions and now protects others in it's territory. Said only to appear when an Absol is in the area.
How to obtain: Evolves after Leveling past Lv40 with an Absol in the party. Would not be found wild in the games.

Just things I thought might work for the design~
I may eventually design an Absol-evolution to go with this guy, but not until I can think of a design worthy enough for it.
Was drawn in pencil, outlined in pen, and heavily edited in SAI. Background was also done in SAI.

I was a little worried, putting in the 'name origin' and 'Absol-being-nearby' evolution thing (seeing as in Fakemon, Absol is the most over used next to Eevee) but it just seemed... correct somehow.

Really? I'm glad adding all the extra things added to it; I was afraid they'd make it look overdone.
The image I had in mind was a Northern American Indian cheiftan, or healer or something, though sage is pretty close to that, so I'm still happy~ X3

Hehe~ I kinda went all out with this one, 'cause it's for a comp.
I think the background took me about 6 hours... maybe longer. And all I basically did was put colour over colour until it looked vaguely like I wanted it to.
And the mist is basically a cover of my mistakes; when in doubt, put mist on top of it~
