Description This was supposed to be a speed painting, but I ended up adding more detail than I'd planned (apparently I can't resist detail ), so two hours became ten. It was practice all the same; I resolved not to use any references for the flowers and leaves (although credits for the model goes to =faestock ), and I like how it turned out.

Watercolor on paper, 23 x 30.5 cm

ive recently been introduced to watercolor and im strugling .any tips?

We're actually in the same boat; I just started using watercolors, haha! From what I can tell, it's just a matter of practice, especially when it comes to applying layers and blending. You have to always be quick because it dries fast, but be careful not to add too much water, otherwise the colors bleed
