If Halcyon ever went into battle, she'd wear this.But she wouldn't look as wimpy and afraid as she does here. Oh well. That's because this pic actually started out as Kina, but as I finished the CG, it turned into Halcyon. That's what I get for having such a generic character c-c Anyways Kina... don't worry, I'm working on another badass pic for you ^_^;;;; please don't kill me...
Anyway, the sketch for this is pretty detailed, maybe I'll upload it on a really slow day or show it to you if you ask. But I like the CG because it looks somewhat different than my usual style.

To be honest (I try to do that evr' now and again... ^^' ), the glowing kind of annoyed me at first (I didn't get why it was s'darn bright). I thought to myself, "why does he do that? o.O", that's what I thought. But then you know, I looked at it for a little bit of a minute, and it wasn't just plain BRIGHT, so much as an actual glow. Like... yeh know... she's all... glowy. *rolls eyes at her blatant lack of intelligence* Very cool effect. I quite like it.
Anyway, this picture is stunning (like an extrodinarily large chunk of the wonderful and [excuse me if this is corny] often emotionally intriguing [I can't spell either] art), not in spite of the glow, but yes, BECAUSE of it. Partially. I mean... what I mean is.... you know... the line art and coloring and BG-ishness are also marvelous. Yes.
In conclusion: Matt, I really very much love your work, this picture is wonderous, and I hope you keep posting on DivArt for a long time to come, as I really get a lot of enjoyment out of looking at your pictures. To be quite honest, I find your art and your coloring to be both really very stunning and a breath of sweet-smelling fresh air. And a-thank you. *big flowery bow*

looks good..although i think you should have added a foresty back ground to commend her green armor or make her look as if she was on the battle field ^_^...god i really need to shut up with comments to people and start doing more art of my own ...but anyways great job!

That's a great piece. I really like the style it's drawn in ( ie. the quasi scribbly stitches in the sash dealie) and the luminosity that's goin' on.
