Description
A work inspired by one of the most powerful book chapter ever written. Directly from the saga "A song of Ice and Fire" by the extraordinary author George R.R. Martin, here is my personal interpretation of the Red Wedding.Acrylics, coloured pencils and watercolours on paper.

Amazing piece. I could well imagine this scene being depicted on a stained glass window.
I wonder about the naked woman in the background. Is that Roslin Frey? She is running towards a nude male figure. Edmure Tully, perhaps?

Hi I know this oldΒ but this scene in both the books and in the show was so heartbreaking I drop show couldn't watch tho I continue to read the books which are great though my favorite is 1-3, but still this wonderful yet horrific of what happen

Thank you so much! Yes, it is heartbreaking indeed! When I did this piece there was no TV series, so it is entirely based on what I felt reading the book. I think that the TV series is not bad, but this particular scene in the book is (as well as many others) way more powerful in his written version.

So much murder, bloodshed, treachery, despair, tragedy, death and carnage all in a short, unexpected period of time. Β Shocking how the King in the North would meet such a grisly end at the hands of slimy backstabbers.Β

Definitely captures the sheer, horrific scale of the Red Wedding ... like a sea of death and blood and grief, with Robb Stark only a small part at the center.
