Description I needed to make a Fawna ref sheet because I didn't have one. I also thought I needed to update her bio a bit more. Nothing has changed about her design much except that her cheek tufts are much smaller.

Character Description

Name: Fawna
Gender: Female
Age: It depends
Species: White-Tailed Deer

Family/Relationships

Parents: Ena (mother), Antler (father)
Siblings: Faline (half-sister), Gobo (half-brother)
Other Relatives: Yetta (grandmother)
Friends: Azeria, Banda, Bambi, Thumper, Flower, Acca
Enemies: Tilde, Leonie, Kesat, other wolves, Man
Love Interest: Ronno

Personality

Trustworthy: Fawna never gives up on promises from her friends
Kind: Treats the bullied Banda very nicely when she first meets her. Doesn’t seem to judge those who she befriends
Cowardly: Is afraid of wolves and Man. From all of the negative stories she’s heard of them, she is terrified to explore new places, thinking they would be there.
Self-Doubting: After getting mocked by other deer for her cowardliness, Fawna doubts her abilities to do things.

Backstory

  • Born at the edge of the Great Prince’s herd, where many of the foxes lived.
  • Her close proximity to foxes allowed her to make her first friend with Azeria, who’s a fox
  • Fawna is an illegitimate child between the noblewoman Ena and the wild and rebellious Antler.
  • This caused Ena to flee from everyone and raise Fawna in hiding
  • For the first year of her life, Fawna is raised on the outskirts of the herd.
  • When playing with Azeria in the woods, she discovers Banda hiding in the snow
  • When befriending the orphaned Banda, Leonie, Kesat, and Ronno start to pick on her for being nice to a weak deer and Leonie beats up Fawna for some time before Azeria claws at her face, causing them to run away.
  • A few days later, they meet Nico, a carefree playboy fawn. He tries to impress females by going up to contact dangerous wolves. Then, Ronno tells everyone about how the wolves shred them to pieces. These stories are overly exaggerated, but they make Fawna terrified of exploring.
  • After the story telling and  meeting Nico, Azeria convinces the two to explore outside of the forest. Fawna feels like she’s getting older after it is discovered her mother is pregnant with Faline and Gobo after finding a stable mate for the first time.
  • The border of the herd is a human-made fence, after an hour of convincing, Azeria finally gets Fawna to cross into the wilderness
  • They discover the wolves’ home and see that it was destroyed. Soon, a wolf comes up to them. Tilde, who is the alpha male’s daughter, is angry and blames the mess of Fawna, promising vengeance on the deer, when she’s older. The damage was actually caused by Nico.
  • Once Faline and Gobo are born, Fawna is ignored more in favor of them because they have higher status then her. Faline is betrothed to the young prince Bambi at an early age. Most powerful deer don’t even know of Fawna’s existence.
  • Soon, Fawna is able to leave her mother in favor of her wise grandmother Yetta who raises her until she turns 3
  • Azeria and Banda convince Fawna to explore around the herd now that she’s independent, but only goes if they are around.
  • When walking by the lake, they discover a collapsed buck, they discover it’s Ronno and that he’s just lost a battle for Faline’s hand.
  • Ronno is dumbfounded by Fawna’s kindness and apologies for his rude behavior in the past, vowing to change. The fight with Bambia nearly changes his life. After striking a friendship with Ronno, Fawn and him fall in love.
  • Then, Leonie appears out of nowhere and challenges Fawna to a fight, in which Fawna loses and runs away from the herds center with her friends and Ronno. Leonie later finds love with Kesat.
  • Fawna is still a very cowardly doe.
  • She encounters Nico, who tries to impress Banda and her by going back up to the wolves.
  • It’s then discovered that they devoured him
  • Tilde, now leader of the pack, decided it is now time to wreak vengeance on the herd and start a war. Wolves come down and start killing deer and other animals.
  • Fawna decides she has to stop the problem. Tilde thinks she started and runs to the wolves’ dens.
  • After finding Tilde, Tilde challenges Fawna to a fight. Fawna is nearly killed by the mass of Tilde’s strength but Fawna bears to see the herd destroyed by wolves and soon fights back with her hooves
  • Tilde is pushed down into the cliff and then the incident with Man happens soon after, causing a fire. Tilde is killed by the aftermath of these situations and probably burned in the fire.
  • Fawna is the last deer to escape the fire alive and the Great Prince takes notice of what she done after there are scars and wolf fur bits over her body
  • In the spring, Fawna is rewarded with a high position in the herd for her bravery by the soon-to-retire Great Prince and gives birth to twin fawns.
  • She’s finally accepted by her mother as a good daughter.
