A few months ago I bought this fur coat at a vintage shop. It's rabbit fur (I assume?) the tag only says it's 100% real fur. The grey/ black fur is cut to triangular pieces and put together I think. Here is a detailled picture: sta.sh/0qerizl98z7I guess it's a coat from the 70's because of the cropped body and large collar. I also found some similar coats but they don't have the triangular pattern (www.etsy.com/listing/176500810… looks like it)
The coat is in really good shape and I had it professionally cleaned.
But I need your opinion: Would you be comfortable wearing fur coats out in public? I love fur but not everyone knows it, because it is second-handed fur so I do not feel like I 'killed' animals on purpose. But I'm still a bit scared to wear it because the reactions of some people. Does anyone relate to this?

I wear my fur coats in public because I give a wet shiet about their opinion. Apart from that, no one has ever approached me to tell me what cute fluffy things have died for it. And even less directly accused me of murdering them.
No one ever poured colour over me.
No one ever called me names for wearing fur.
And no one ever seemed to notice at all.
If you walk the streets with confidence and show them that you don't give a fuck about their opinion at all you will never face any problems with ANYTHING.

i dont think people would notice too much- they register more coats with whole fox fur collars or from full pelts.these patched rabbit pieces could pass for "fake" fur for untrained eye i guess it looks really nice and warm:3

That's true indeed. A lot of woman (but also men!) walk with those raccoon dog fur collars!

I think lot of people are hypocryte or even dont know too much about fur quality/kinds-they cant recognise fake fur from racoon/tanuki hem hood.Only if you wear full pelt coat or fox collar they could notice yup,its perfect for these cold months!
