Personal Info
Full Name: Arashi Sato (Unknown to the public), (Real Name: Arashi Aozaki)
Alias: Arashi "Sumire" Sato
Gender: Female
Age: 36
Birthday: September 1st
Height: 6"3 (191cm)
Hero Name: Armored Dragon Hero: Stormbreaker
Quirk: Flameburst

Appearance:
Light Brown with blue highlights, light skin, athletically build, scars over arms and upper body
Burns on upper arms, caused by her Quirk Awakening, now healed, but scars remain from it, something she covers up often
Two claw scars on her left cheek inflicted by a villain. Crimson Red Scaled Dragon features

Personality:
Stormbreaker is hot headed unlike her husband Kenzo. Stormbreaker has two alter egos, her hero persona Stormbreaker and her true self Arashi/"Sumire". Her hero personality is more hot-headed and arrogant, while her true self is more open. She has occasionally shown both sides of her personality before now.

Likes: Cats (adores kittens), Cookies, Spicy Food/Food, Being respected, Anime/Manga, Video Games, Justice, Old Heroes (mainly Endeavor), Engineering, Fire Quirk Users, Power, Her Agency

Dislikes: Needles, Disrespect, Hospitals, Villains, Ice Quirk Users, Arashi misbehaving, Vigilantes, hates being called Arashi, U.A

Quirk: Flameburst
The quirk allows her to control superheated flames that can also create explosions. It works best at a close - medium range because of the proximity it needs. The quirk requires calories to function.

She heats the surrounding air in a medium range proximity, allowing her to use her flames and explosions.

When activated, her eyes turn purple and sparks of purple electricity surround her - a side effect of her quirk activation - and an unintentional thing to happen.

Her flames go from orange to blue to purple to white, the white color being the highest the user can attain through quirk training.

Stormbreaker has a higher heat resistance to her quirk than her daughter Arashi has.

Explosions
The user can manifest explosions via the use of her flames that can hinder foes from a close range. She can also use it to create flashbangs to hinder foes.

Fire Manipulation
This allows her to control her own flames that allow her to attack and overwhelm foes with pure heat and strength alone. She can use this with her combat style, surround herself in flames etc or even manifest flames around her body in an act of intimidation.

She can also propel herself/fly in the air using her flames, which helps combat villains that can fly and run/escape.

The flames, when activated, start as orange, then go from blue to purple to white. Burning things at a cellular level is possible because of how hot the flames get. She cannot control flames she doesn’t create.

The user can create basic weapons such as spears and swords made of the flames and, amongst other things, such as basic shields and support items such as whips to restrain the foe.

Awakening
Inferno
Because of a quirk awakening when she was younger, Stormbreaker awakened her quirk during a lot of stress. Doing so allowed her to control white flames with a tinge of blue.  These flames are way stronger than her purple flames, but have a huge temperature increase, making them useful for one or two huge attacks before she overheats.

Drawbacks:
Using the quirk over the natural limit will raise Stormbreaker’s body temperature extremely high, impairing her physical and mental capabilities. Heat exhaustion, third-degree burns, unconsciousness and coma are likely if overused.

The quirk doesn’t allow the user to control other flames. Only their own.

The air surrounding her gets hot, leaving it hard for others to work in proximity to her. This is a major downside of her quirk. Unless people are resistant to fire and heat.

While the quirk allows her to heat the air nearby, causing the flames and explosions to appear, they are almost useless in certain situations; situations with burning buildings/battlefields and humid environments will render her quirk weakened because of fact, because the air is extremely wet (humid environments).

Water is also a huge weakness with the quirk as being soaked with water as it contains a lot of hydrogen and not purely oxygen, like it needs to heat, will render her weaker.

Ice is also a huge weakness because of cooling down her temperature significantly, making it harder for her to heat herself up to use her quirk. Cold environments also work in this same way.

Her explosions are only useful at close range. As it requires close combat in order to work. To this degree, her flames only work in the close vicinity around her.

Stormbreaker isn't fully resistant to her flames, and she has to train the quirk to build up heat resistance enough so she doesn’t damage herself.

Stormbreaker requires cooling via support items or by ice quirk users to reduce the temperature at high levels to manageable levels.

Stormbreaker barely has any resistance to her explosions because of the sheer firepower of what the quirk can create.

Repeated explosions will cause massive pain in Stormbreaker‘s body leading her to become physically impaired. Creating explosions with two body parts (e.g arms, legs and body) would lead to smaller blasts and less toll on the body in question.

Stormbreaker must eat certain foods, drinks and plants containing the chemicals used to produce the compounds in her body required to manifest their fire and explosions. As a result, she must constantly eat more to fuel her quirk as it drains a lot of energy, leading her to need way more calorie intake.

It's extremely hard to master and use in combat. Usually takes decades to master and use safely.

Super Moves:
- Firebolt Piercer - Offensive - Stormbreaker creates a concentrated blast of purple explosive fire, blasting it at her foe to pierce through their armor. Drawback is that it requires a lot of concentration to do so and can be interrupted.

- Flameburst Armor - Offensive/Defensive - Flameburst Armor allows Stormbreaker to create semi-solid fire armor made of her explosive flames in a dragon shape around her body. This allows her to use both at once, allowing her to have great fire defensive and offensive capabilities. Drawback is that it's extremely hot and takes a lot of energy to maintain.

Bio:
The woman that would become known as Stormbreaker was born in Kamino Ward, Yokohama, Japan, the only child of Ryuji Sato and Homura Motome. While most of her childhood was fairly ordinary, much like other kids - there were rumors surrounding her father growing up, some found it strange about her father’s name and his heritage. Many assumed the man was half-Japanese and his heritage was not as visible in his face as it was in his name. They rumored he might actually be a foreign hero - that had gone off the radar, perhaps even retired, some years ago. Arashi found that fairly silly. Her father may have been a hero, but he wasn’t that type of hero. Not the type that fought villains. Ryuji worked as a firefighter, a different type of hero.

Ryuji’s quirk - Blaze Forge - allowed Ryuji to shape flame into various constructs, including weapons & tools, which he would often use in his firefighting career for breaking and entering a burning building. Arashi’s mother, Homura, had the original Flameburst quirk. It allowed her to super-heat the air, creating different coloured flames accordingly but lacked the ability to be shaped like with her husband. It also required a heavy calorie count to offset, on top of the regular workout she received in her work as a blacksmith.

Arashi’s quirk manifested when she was 6 years of age. Arashi had the combination of both her father’s Blaze Forge quirk and her mother’s Flameburst quirk, leading to a stronger version of both quirks. This led to her getting super excited over her quirk and the possibilities surrounding it.

This ‌led her to have a lot of pride about her quirk after she found how great it was and how others praised her for having such a powerful quirk. Arashi grew up with a lot of arrogance because of it, as she often looked down on others for not being as powerful as her.

Arashi’s mother, Homura, died when Arashi was 6 years old. Homura’s work as a blacksmith led to her dying of metal poisoning. Arashi had fond memories of her mother and loved spending time with her. Her death would leave her father, Ryuji, to raise Arashi alone, and she became extremely close to her father whenever he had the time to spend with her.

Ryuji told Arashi about Japan's heroes, Endeavor being the one whose quirk sparked Arashi's ambition to be a hero. She learned of his hardships and glory as he helped defeat All for One and help Deku save Japan.

Arashi, however, didn’t process the same lack of heat resistance as her father did, and her quirk didn’t burn her body in the same manner. Her father opted to help her train and understand her quirk. She could easily adjust her power levels on the fly and easily adapted to the heat of her quirk as she had an extremely high heat resistance.

Growing up, Arashi became interested in making support gear to help her in her future quest to become a hero. Learning how to make it was important. At least if she didn’t become a hero or eventually retire in her future hero career, she could make it as a support engineer.

She joined UA at 15, working her way to becoming a hero. If there was one important lesson she learned from her father, it was to always conceal your identity as a hero, as it’d prevent villains from tracking you down. Something she kept in mind when designing her first ever hero uniform. She got in a lot of trouble in U.A. Arashi got close to winning the sports festival but could never get above 2nd.

On the day she got her provisional license in her second year to allow herself to do hero work, her father got killed in a tragic accident at his workplace where the building collapsed. He was the closest person and only family left. Something which drove Arashi to become distant, as she thought nobody would understand. Now with no other family left, Arashi was adopted by UA in the meantime till she graduated.

After her father’s death, Arashi became distant to her classmates and started an intense rivalry and dislike with one of her classmates (who was the number 1 hero in the future) and another classmate. Arashi grew to have a distant relationship with the two, treating one of her classmates as less than human, partly because of them throwing fights and refusing to take her seriously. Stormbreaker didn’t want to talk to the classmate who was the future number one hero about the subject and didn’t think they understood either, hence how she ended up distant towards her too. After her UA graduation, she dropped using her name of Arashi completely and began using Stormbreaker.

During the time of her being a sidekick-in-training at an agency, she met a promising support engineer named Kenzo Aozaki. The two got along and eventually fell in love. The two got married shortly after when she was 20 and then had a child named Arashi at 22, who she named after herself in hopes her own child would surpass her.

Stormbreaker occasionally took Arashi to her agency to get her husband off her back for not looking after her, but made no form of parenting towards her, instead treating her like she was one of her sidekicks. This led Arashi to tag along on missions and pro hero meetups, only for her sidekicks to babysit her or other pro heroes, while Stormbreaker dealt with the villains.

It was during that time that her former classmate was the number 1 hero. Stormbreaker eventually started a one-sided rivalry out of jealousy to prove she was the only capable of becoming the number 1 hero and the new symbol of peace.

At 24 years old, amid a villain attack, Stormbreaker fought a villain that was powerful enough to take down a few pro heroes, including the mentor Stormbreaker was under. Ignoring the instruction to flee and to save herself, Stormbreaker fought the villain, eager to prove her worth and to save the day. She eventually awakened her quirk in a moment of distress and desperation, defeating the villain. This led to an extreme consequence, as she was out of her intensive injuries for months. This was also her major debut as a pro hero.

Her mentor eventually retired and handed over his agency to Stormbreaker. Stormbreaker became a fully fledged pro hero, months after her recovery after her 25th birthday. Kenzo opted to become a support engineer for her company, becoming her most trusted subordinate. This was the start of the Stormbreaker Hero Agency in Musutafu. Stormbreaker quickly climbed the ranks of Japan’s top heroes, becoming feared by criminals and villains.

Two years later, at Stormbreaker’s age of 27, the hero association ranked Stormbreaker No. 127 on the leaderboard.

Stormbreaker occasionally looked after her daughter, as most of the time her sidekicks took care of her, opting to help her train to use her quirk. Stormbreaker attempted to teach Arashi how to use her quirk, but the child couldn’t handle it, because Stormbreaker did not really understand how to teach the young Arashi, and many of her training sessions failed.

It was at 28, Stormbreaker pushed the limits of her training with Arashi by attempting to train her to fly using her quirk in her agency’s swimming pool. This led Arashi to nearly drown as she couldn’t fly using her quirk like Stormbreaker can. One of her sidekicks, in a panic, called for help, the number 1 hero showing up to save Arashi from drowning. It was at that moment that Stormbreaker’s own recklessness had nearly killed her own daughter.

The whole incident caused the number 1 hero to become really mad at Stormbreaker for doing so. Kenzo, her husband, had heard of the news and came rushing over to check on their daughter, getting furious at Stormbreaker. Kenzo took full care of Arashi, after the event, citing it was too dangerous to let her be around Stormbreaker and broke off contact with her after realizing how reckless and power-hungry she became.

A normal person would realize the error of her ways, but for Stormbreaker it was more of a way for her to focus solely on her work and only that. That was the only way she felt to become number 1. For Stormbreaker, defeating villains and becoming more powerful was the thing she needed the most, if she was ever to surpass the number 1 hero. By the age of 34, Stormbreaker had finally gotten the Number 4 spot through a great deal of hard work.

Luckily for her, Stormbreaker had a new successor to her quirk, who she finally acknowledged because of Arashi getting into UA. However, it didn’t work out as Arashi, who she didn’t bond with and just abandoned most of her life, just gave up on her. The two have a strange relationship. Little does Arashi know, Stormbreaker doesn’t want to get close in case something happens or a villain goes after Arashi, because Stormbreaker took off her armor.

After all, all she wants is powerful enough so they’ll be no more villains.

Trivia:

  • Identity - Stormbreaker's true identity and face are a closely guarded secret known only to a select few people, including her husband, top 10 of her agency, some former U.A teachers/classmates. The public only knows what she looked like in her younger years, and she often wears her helmet to conceal her face.
  • Language - Stormbreaker occasionally talks in her Scottish accent with some phases. Her accent in English is heavily Scottish.
  • Work - Stormbreaker constantly overworks herself to the point of actually passing out on the job, often in her office. She’s a workaholic and works extremely hard.
  • Hero Name - Stormbreaker chose her hero name because she thought it was cool. She chose the Armored Dragon Hero title after designing her second hero costume; as well as referencing her dragon traits.
  • Cape/Kenzo Reference - Stormbreaker gifted a blue cape to Kenzo, which he still wears over his casual clothing. In return, she updated the colors of her armor as a reference to Kenzo, symbolizing their mutual affection for each other despite their poor communication and distance.
  • Hair Dyed - Stormbreaker dyed her hair light brown after an incident with Kenzo to hide her natural hair color and focus on being Stormbreaker. However, she has recently started accepting who she is and stopped using hair dye.
  • Scars/Burns - Stormbreaker has multiple scars all over her body because of combat, and she has a significant burn covering her upper arms because of her Quirk Awakening and its effects. However, she considers herself lucky that the burns weren't more severe.
  • Cheese - Stormbreaker is known for her love of cheese, especially chili-flavored blocks of cheese, among her fellow sidekicks in the agency. Her colleagues have nicknamed her "MouseBreaker" as a playful reference to her affinity for cheese.
  • Chilies - Stormbreaker has an extremely high tolerance of chilies. She can eat ghost peppers casually.
  • Favorite Meals -
Favorite Breakfast Meals: Japanese Pancakes, Hash Browns with Breakfast Sausage, Bacon and Baked Beans
Favorite Lunch Meals: Onigiri, Ramen and Curry Rice
Favorite Dinner Meals: Omurice with Fried Chicken, Beef Stew and Katsudon
  • Disliked Foods/Beverages - She dislikes Natto, Durian, Mushrooms, Japanese Whiskey and Wine.
  • Fears - Stormbreaker is afraid of hospitals and has a fear of needles. She tries to avoid them as much as possible, not wanting to end up when she would have to be hospitalized or receive a needle.
  • Dreams & Nightmares - Stormbreaker has dreams and nightmares related to regret and failure. Her dreams are about not being able to save her father and feeling pathetic for not being there to prevent his death. She also dreams about failing to save people, especially after Arashi was almost killed because of her. Her nightmares are worse and include failing to protect her family and others, with the memory of her father's death haunting her. The nightmares become even worse after the rock villain kidnapped Arashi and beat her, prompting Stormbreaker to dream of events where he killed her and Kenzo with the events repeating over and over.
  • Intimidation - Stormbreaker keeps her flames constantly active while on duty to intimidate villains, but she keeps them at a low temperature and increases them only when necessary to avoid overusing her quirk. This tactic is not as necessary in her new costume [Hero Costume #3], as she now focuses on efficiently using her quirk in battle. Stormbreaker is naturally intimidating, even without her quirk, and has a terrifying presence that can strike fear in others, especially when she stares directly at them.
  • Cold - Stormbreaker's quirk gives her a passive ability to not feel cold in the same way as a normal person. This can lead to her getting strange looks when she's out in the winter or in the office, as she barely feels the cold. She feels warmer than the average person to stand beside. She feels warmer than the average person to stand beside. Could you imagine if it turned off somehow? Yeah, that'd be absolute pain.
  • Wounds - Stormbreaker can’t actually cauterize her wounds. She has to do it through an external source, such as a spear or anything of the sort.
  • Hero Costume Inspiration - Hero Costume 2 [Armored]: Stormbreaker's second hero costume is more original but still has some inspirations from other heroes. Her armor is power armor-based and draws inspiration from Iron Man and War Machine. She incorporates an X shape out of fire, similar to Endeavor's first costume, and uses Deku-style gauntlets and a cape inspired by other heroes. She designed her armor with her hero inspirations in mind to make it fitting for her history.
  • Hero Costume Inspiration - Hero Costume 3 [Armored Dragon]: The third one has more originality compared to the other two, making sense as she became her own person. Her helmet is dragon themed, inspired by western dragons, owing to her dragon themed inspiration.

One could say it's like Dark Deku’s outfit because of the bandages and the helmet design being similar. That was the joke I had lying around for inspiration when I was doing it. Stormbreaker’s bandages around her arms. It’s meant to be Japanese inspired heavily too as seen in the armor overall and has a slight Scottish reference as seen in the Tartan scarf. Her belt is inspired by Fuse (Apex Legends) as a cool little reference. Cape is inspired by fantasy characters and the fur collar is inspired by Naofumi Iwatani (Rising of the Shield Hero) and Goblin Slayer (Goblin Slayer), never seen Goblin Slayer personally but the references are cool.
  • Hero Inspiration - Stormbreaker was very inspired by Endeavor in her childhood. He’s one of the few heroes she looked up when she first manifested her quirk. She’s studied how to use his super moves and Shoto’s as well. It’s rumored that she knows how to use Shoto’s Flashfire Fist: Phosphor, but with her flames instead. She was inspired by All Might in her quest for being the next Symbol of Peace.
  • Hair Inspiration - Stormbreaker’s new hair color redesign is heavily inspired by Lady Nagant (Kaina Tsutsumi) and Fuyumi Todoroki.
  • Cats - Stormbreaker owns a large fluffy cat called Chicco that often lounges in her office. Chicco is the uncle of Milo, Arashi's cat and shares his friendliness. Because of Stormbreaker's quirk, cats are naturally drawn to her as she provides warmth like a walking radiator.
  • Endeavor Fan - Stormbreaker is a huge Endeavor fan and shows that off by having a ton of merch in her office.
  • Name - Arashi's first name means "storm," while her last name, Sato, means "help" or "aid."
  • Singing - Stormbreaker cannot sing and is aware of her lack of singing ability. She avoids singing and does not like to be asked to sing because of the terrible noise she would produce. Her friends and colleagues know about this and often tease her about it.
  • Alcohol - Stormbreaker's sense of justice is so strong that when she drinks alcohol, her inhibitions are lowered and she becomes very aggressive towards anyone she perceives as being unjust. She may even pick fights with people who she thinks are acting unfairly. This behavior, combined with her increased recklessness, can lead to harmful situations for herself and those around her. As a result, giving alcohol to Stormbreaker is not recommended.
  • Celebrating Holidays/Birthdays - Stormbreaker prioritizes her work as a hero over celebrating holidays or birthdays. She sees her work as a hero as her calling and feels that it's more important than any celebration. Stormbreaker may acknowledge the occasion but won't celebrate it or make a big deal out of it. She takes her responsibility to protect the innocent and uphold justice seriously and sees it as her purpose in life. Stormbreaker may feel uncomfortable with celebrations being directed towards her, preferring to focus on helping others and doing what's right.
  • Genre of Music - Stormbreaker will listen to whatever, ‌depending on which mood she's in. She really likes anime soundtracks and openings.
  • Achievements They Are Proud Of - Stormbreaker is proud of her accomplishment of becoming a hero that saves people.
  • Height - Her height is caused by the fact she suffers from a rare usual height gain that ended up in her gaining more height than the average person, leading her to end up at 7”7 when she fully grew up. Stormbreaker is smaller as the result of a quirk that reduces her size from being as giant as she was before. She became 6”3 as the result of asking for it as it’d help overall.

Flameburst was originally designed by Sh-Vr. I [Juvia/Cutiefly] made edits to the quirk and made it my own characters quirk, but the idea belongs to them. Thanks Sh-Vr for helping me out. Sh-Vr also designed the cool blue highlights on her hair, Emblem, Helmet, Knee/Shin Design and made it awesome. They also helped with the armor too. Sh-Vr came up with the Sumire Alias. Myst came up with the Firebolt Piercer Super Move, credit to them.
