YOOO, This is so nice, like wow. It's nice to see some Stranger fanart again. It's so rare nowadays.
This is so neat. I love shading on on his eyes from his hat and the textural look on the hat itself. It gives it a nice old look which is fitting for Stranger's design. All the little details are there too such as the tied up bit of hair on his side (I like how the string/band looks like it's tied up from the sticky out part. NICE) and the lips. Really brings it piece to life and gives it a nice "Oddworld" mood. Also, hnnnggg the eye. Really stands out and generally fits perfectly.
I can't really think of anything very useful in terms of critisism. When I do see bust shots though, it's good to try out different ways of presenting the character bust; aside just drawing the character. (Which you've done with the greystle and the green eyes, but...) ...Maybe if you do something similar to this, try using a different colour scheme. For example, This piece could have a sepia themed colour scheme, Just to give it more of a Western mood. But aside that, I can't point out anything major. It's a very nice bust.
I also REALLY love the background. Kinda reminds me of a fresh wound. :-0 Which is fitting as Stranger hunts bounties.
All in all, Lovely bust. Stranger's kind are so hard to master like GOD--They have such a strange skull shape.

I'm a latecomer to the Oddworld fandom, tbh xD Only got into the games last year, though now I've played/completed all of them (except for the original Abe's Oddysee because I suuuck without quicksave, I substituted New n' Tasty). Stranger's Wrath was probably my favorite out of all of them, which is saying something because normally I don't even like FPSs. And I was rather upset when I learned Oddworld Inhabitants wasn't making games anymore because they are amazing at worldbuilding and I wanted MOAR
Thank you so much for the feedback, it's all wonderful <3 I do agree that the pose could have been a bit more "flashy", profile-view just turned out a bit too flat. I'll remember that in future drawings. And I did consider adding a brown tint at first, actually. I agree it would have looked good. I kept it colorless because, once I settled on a solid black-and-white background, I realized that having the subject greyscale in contrast could be a nice reflection of how morally-ambiguous Stranger sometimes acts in-game, or how he's a nameless nomad who doesn't really seem to "fit in" anywhere. Hurr. Artsy-fartsy stuff I guess.
And UGH IKR. They got those domed heads and super-short muzzles and I'm just like--do I reference humans? Do I reference animals? Wat do? I think my first thought upon seeing a clear shot of his face was "someone crossed Clint Eastwood with an angry bunny rabbit". Not even sure where I got rabbit from, I think it was the nose/lip cleft.
Thanks again!

As far as I know, Just Add Water (who did New n Tasty and SW HD) isn't working with Oddworld Inhabitants at the moment, but I do hope we'll see more Oddworld stuff in the future. And you're right, I can definitely see ram in there somewhere. And yep, I've played through it all! It had the most bittersweet hit-you-like-a-ton-of-bricks ending I've ever seen in a game x_x And them plot twists. Kudos to Oddworld, they know how to tell a story, even if I feel like they could have gone a bit more in-depth, because I had soooo many questions afterwards.

I didn't even try the mobile version It just didn't seem like a good port, and I felt like you couldn't see all the cool details in the characters and landscapes on such a small screen.
MO is definitely my runner-up favorite, I just finished it last weekend. All the Oddworld games seemed equally dark to me, but the older games were more comically-dark. The villains were so over-the-top evil that it was funny, instead of scary. SW was definitely more "serious", there were less jokes and it was more gritty, and Sekto seemed a little more competent than Molluck or the Vykkers. I think if Fangus Klot or Sligstorm had been finished, we would have seen that trend continue. Not sure how I feel about that tbh, I don't mind serious moments at all but I liked Oddworld's dark, demented charm xD Sorry to ramble, I just haven't gotten the chance to discuss the games much after playin' em.

I got SW HD on the Oddboxx on Steam, which also has lots of delicious concept art, so if you have a PC you could try it on there. And IKR, that's what I love about it. It doesn't bonk you over the head with morals and issues, but they're still there and tie into the plot.
And yeah the last fight was kinda dumb. I more or less consider the double-team Gloktigi (those things were creepy af, and geeze those horrible squealing noises they made x_x) to be the last proper fight, because THAT was a pain in the ass. Sekto's fight was easy once I knew what to do, so kind of anticlimactic. Another annoying fight: Packrat Palooka and his endless supply of extremely loud missiles. I have a fan-theory that Stranger is partially deaf due to years of bullet storms and rockets whizzing around him, because I probably was by the end of that boss It would explain why that one outlaw was able to sneak up and knock him out
You totally should! I'll probably do a few more pieces later, and I'm thinking about trying a SW fancomic at some point, since I'm a story-focused person and the lack of a resolution for SW's plot is driving me nuts. It MIGHT turn out to be a cringe-inducing pile of crap, but hopefully I can produce something decent without butchering the canon too badly.

A gun would have definitely been more interesting (some sort of engraved black/silver revolver, maybe). The giant mecha...thing was just so out of left field, didn't fit the setting at all.
The plot for the comic isn't set yet, I'm trying to find every plot hole or canon error I can and smooth it out, but so far it will mostly revolve around Stranger attempting to track down Sekto and finish the job, while also trying to get used to the whole "guardian" thing. My main issue right now, aside from getting the plot worked out, in that there will be two OCs: a deuteragonist who hangs out with (read: annoys the shit out of) Stranger, and a co-antagonist who allies themselves with Sekto around halfway through. Both need to be as interesting and well-characterized as I can possibly make them WITHOUT overshadowing Stranger, since people don't typically like OCs in a fanwork (and I can't exactly blame them lol).

Bahaha you hit the nail on the head there. That's basically how it went.
That's my viewpoint too, though I don't read too many fics myself, I have found a few awesome ones. I'm going to try to make it good, at the very least xD

Very true. My first proper OC was a wolf (sooooo original) who went from a scarred-up black-furred tough gal to a big friendly derpy hellhound that was far more interesting to draw and write. I don't think I've ever really had any FCs until I started brainstorming for this comic.

...Would it be completely stupid if I did a comic/graphic novel as a fan-sequel of sorts? Ever since I played the HD version on Steam a while back, I've been thinking about it and working out a plot of sorts just for fun, but I keep wavering on actually doing it because I'm not sure how well it would be received.
