Description
The cub's parents were...less than enthused about their child being born a scrawny green-eyed runt, especially since there was little room in their already-dying race for weakness. Despite being the firstborn of their tribe's matriarch, the cub was quickly shunted to the bottom of the hierarchy. His undersized form marked him as little more than another mouth to feed, and his emerald eyes, the elders warned, would herald misfortune. Bullied and ganged up on by the older, stronger youths, he gained a reputation as a vindictive, troublemaking loner. He learned how to be crafty, seemingly fleeing his enemies only to catch them alone one-by-one later, viciously paying them back for their abuse and sending them yelping back to their dams, who dubbed the boy a menace. There was little solace to be found in his parents either, for they believed his struggles would toughen him up, better aiding his chances of survival.

While his childhood experiences may have taught him how to be self-sufficient, they would also ensure that he found no comfort among his own kind. The rest of the tribe learned to leave him well enough alone, and the feral child grew up on the fringes of their society. Those sullen green eyes showed no familiarity anymore--to the tribe, he might as well have been a stranger.

GOD it has been ages since I've done anything Oddworld-related. Darn real life getting in the way of my stupid fanart ;n; So, I've got a lot of slightly-baseless headcanon about Stranger's past, and most of it is...honestly kind of depressing xD But hey every antihero needs a super angsty backstory AMIRITE.
