Description ooo my lip ring... took it out for this shot.... its a super macro shot that i just found out how to do.... but yeh aside from that... the scratches on the ball are what my teeth have done to it! ... hehe im stronger than steel!

hmm but the way i did this is best explained by ยขlevinet ... i found a comment on one of.... spyed's images (dont ask... im not keen)

'Oh, by the way, a little trick. Detatch the 18-55mm lens from the camera, zoom it to 55mm and hold it over the front of the camera backwards, look through the viewfinder and get up REALLY close to something (maybe 2 or 3 inches). Free super-macro lens! Just a bit of fun for you if you feel like experiementing. You should be able to zoom the lens to about ~35mm (which is zoomed in more because the optics are reversed) which would give you something like a 2 or 3 times life-size ratio. You'll need a bright light-source for it to work, but give it a go. '

the comment.... but yus... and cant thank ยขlevinet enough for that comment.... never would have figured this out on my own

Impressive. I like the textures and details that have been captured. The depth of field is very shallow so not much if anything is actually in sharp focus but I like that.

I realy like these macro shots...but i cant take this pictures... dont have a good camera or lens... the best of the macro is that u can shot a lot of diferent small objests n get good results...

the only problem with reversing the lens is that there is no aperture control.... so you gotta make the best of the depth of field that ur given really.... but also its quite hard to shoot in such low ligh.... so it again not pin sharp

i know, i know.... look in my gallery. there's a photo of the patek watch taken with reversed lens from leica.
pity, like you said, because detail - in your case - could be amazing.
