Description
Here is the original Brain Bug design and color comp that I did for Starship Troopers: Roughnecks Chronicles CG television show. It was closely based of a rough sketch that Executive Producer Richard Raynis did. He wanted it to have more of a skull-like face, rather than the more obvious pulsating brain, this design is the result of our collaboration.Related content

I know.
Honestly, had Sony been smart I'd still be working there making more shows. They decided politics and budget cuts were more important. They forced me to leave, I didn't want to, I contractually HAD to. They dropped the ball and everyone missed out.
However, I'm still here.
I've been attempting to pick up the gauntlet and do it again through Image Comics with 8House: Yorris, but none of the fans of the old shows are interested in taking the journey with me. I remember that series from a while back, though only recently I caught up to every episode on netflix. Graphics and art direction were damn cutting edge for its time.

Is that a tail back there? We never really got to see the back end of him in the show....
Ughughgughhh I can almost see his rolls of brain/fat just jiggling. The animators did a nice job of making him look so gelatinous in the show.

Yeah he just seemed to get bigger, in the film he had Chariot Bugs to shuffle him around, we made him walk lol

He suffers from a rare genetic disorder. Honestly I don't know why he ended up so big, probably to link him up with the movie version.
