Description
Although the Hayon Empire is well behind Heinach in the technology of magical firearms, their appearance on the battlefields forced the Hayonite military leadership to consider the use of muskets.
Their use, however, as in Heinach, is limited, perhaps even more limited. Both because the Hayon mages are more traditionalist and because the large number of regular soldiers means that there was no need for major tactical innovations.
However, when the empire clashed with Heinach, the use of musketeers and their rifles made them reconsider the use of firearms
However, they remained a secondary element, poorly integrated into the imperial armed forces. Mostly they are small units of gunners accompanying light units armed with bows and are employed against targets where the firepower of the muskets is more useful than the long range of the bows.
