Basil Karlo

Basil was a c lister actor in the film and play buisness, mainly getting roles in shitty sitcoms and commercials. He was turned down for many movies because his appearance wasn't up to par compared to the jacked, handsome actors in the buisness.

Just when he thought it was all over, an agent from chemical company Daggett Industries presented basil katlo with a prototype cosmetic product, originally meant to reverse aging called Renu. Unknown to Basil, he was used as the first human test subject of the product and suffered greatly from the extremely addictive side effects.

He changed his appearance to match the face of other actors and immediately started gaining popularity, signing for roles and earning a lot. However the renu was taking a tole on his body and mind. He was running out of renu and couldn't buy it because it was still in it's prototype stage.

One night, Basil used his shapeshifting and acting abilities to impersonate a guard and break into Daggett Industries in search of more Renu. Basil was confronted by the GCPD on Roland Daggett's payroll
The police opened fire on the actor,
shattering a wall of Renu bottles which
flooded onto Basil's body turning him into Clayface. He escaped the hospital and ever since has been wrecking havoc on Daggett Industries and searching for a cure for his condition.

He now suffers from identity crisis. The more he shapeshifts into other people the more he forgets who he once was.

Altered physiology
Following the accident Basil Karlo's body is now a mass of a clay-like organic material that he has full co trol over. Can shift his density, mass, and shape to anything he can imagine. This also allows him to mimic human forms as well as their voice with concentration. Can also…

I love the character clayface. He represents the tragic artist. With his design I combined elements from young justice and some fanart I saw. I was never a fan of the Mystical chest province story and went for the batman the animated series origin.
