Koriand’r
Koriand'r (Starfire) and her twin sister (blackfire) were daughters of the king and queen of the planet Tamaran, a barbaric and warrior-like culture, hardened from their environment. Their culture has been in a territory war with the citadel, a lizard-like race of rulers who only seek to destroy and conquer. All Tamaranians are taught how to fight once they are able to fly, thanks to their natural ability to absorb starlight and convert it into power (distant relatives of kryptonians). These warrior princesses were heirs to the throne, however, Koriand'r is a natural leader, combatant and is just a kinder person overall. Blackfire was always jealous of the way that her family favored Koriand’r and grew extremely bitter. Over time this hatred of her sister grew and grew. The people of Tamaran wanted Starfire to be their queen. Finally Blackfire lashed out against Koriandr and then escaped to find the citadel. Eventually blackfire arose in their ranks to become their general and staged an incursion to kill the royal family of Tamaran and become their rightful ruler. Blackfire made herself queen and banished Koriand’r from her home world.

Koriand’r crash landed on planet earth where she met a younger teen titans group led by robin(Dick Grayson). She and Robin immediately fell in love. Now Starfire is the den mother and leader of the teen titans as well as Nightwing’s girlfriend. She has a very bubbly and flirty personality but can immediately get right into action, making her a very amazing leader.

Royal family
At an early age, both the sisters immediately began their intense training to be ready to lead an army into battle. With expert combatant warriors as mentors and experts in various fields, both sisters received a well rounded education. Koriandr is now an expert in hand to hand combat as well as swordsmanship. From her teachings with various experts in culture and history she is an accomplished strategist and historian. She was taught many languages, spanning multiple species, including english.

Tamaranian physiology
Tamaranians are a naturally strong and durable species. For one thing, all Tamaranians are naturally tall. Koriandr is around 6’2. With war being a very common thing in their lives, their species have adapted to be more hardy and capable in combat. Their body absorbs the ultraviolet energy from stars and converts it into raw power in their body. Star power also boosts all of their natural capabilities, giving them superhuman strength, speed, stamina and agility. Starfire’s strength levels are unknown however she has repeatedly been able to out-bench Cyborg. She has near invulnerability and is resistant to high temperatures. Her species can breathe and function in the vacuum of space for long periods of time.

Tamarianian’s main attribute is the ability to control different forms of energy, mainly thermal and kinetic energy. Their power mainly depends on their emotional state. When they are angry or afraid they use thermal energy. They can generate intense heat from their body that burns everything nearby. Starfire can shoot a stream of fire from her hands as well as throw explosive fireballs. When she is courageous and happy, he harnesses kinetic energy. She can send out a kinetic wave of force pushing anyone near her away. She can launch her signature concussive blasts ‘starbolts’ and can wrap her arm in kinetic energy to have more powerful punches.
This concept was inspired by DC movies, tv shows, video games and comic books.
I kind of looked at all her designs across her time as a character and combined them all. I wanted her uniform to be sort of revealing mainly because her culture does not need body armor and would much rather have unrestricted movement. I love the way her hair turned out. I used both orange and red coloring pencils to give it a fire tint just like in the comics. I made her more muscular than she is portrayed in the comics. She is a warrior princess
