The way I see it, Infinite was Tricked, to eggman it was never helping him by creating Infinite to help prove Infinite that he was never weak, it was a ploy to use the Jackal as some sorta instrument to take over the Entire map of Mobius.(which I know how it went before this comic, the plot armor was a key factor)
If also eggman was trying to be savage, he would not mean the words he said.
What Infinite/Zero should have done was get back at shadow and refused the deal given by eggman. Since Shadow is the heartless monster that beat up Pre-Infinite's Jackal Squad (one of the characters of his squad, she, whom I'm interested of) to a bloody pulp, and left Him Bruised and Battered. Not as a bad guy but a good guy that just.... Gets carried away and will do anything to get back at shadow.

Это, я так понимаю, на первой панели Инфинит вспоминает свою команду шакалов, которую всю перебили? А вообще, конечно, он совсем рехнулся - замахиваться мечом на Эггмена посреди его собственной базы с роботами! Не удивительно, что ничего хорошего из этого не вышло!
Энивей, не советую из всей страницы раскрашивать только меч. Он начинает привлекать на себя слишком много внимания, а основное внимание все-таки должно приходиться на лица персонажей.

Это была вынужденная мера, так как в чёрно-белом виде осколки меча абсолютно терялись на фоне последнего фрейма, и на предыдущей странице меч так же был незаметен.

Hey, Eggman, here is a question. WHY THE HELL YOU GAVE A PHANTOM RUBY TO SOME RANDOM GUY INSTEAD, YOU KNOW, YOUR BEST CREATION THAT PUTS UP THE FIGHT EVEN WITHOUT IT????? (sorry for caps, that thing really bothered me in game and even here.)

That's my biggest problem with Sonic Forces: Its too short of everything! The story doesn't have much to it at all, the levels are way too short, the boss fights are all so disgustingly easy, and the way it incorporates Classic Sonic into the mainframe is so lazy and uninspired. My personal, biggest beef with the game is just how useless Infinite was as a villain. I mean, yes he defeats Sonic at the beginning, but if he is able to do that, he could do so much more! He could create clones of Sonic if he could! He could overthrow Eggman at the start and be the main villain! In fact, he SHOULD'VE been the main villain! He's been built up as this supreme badass, and he's ultimately Eggman's tool! Such a waste of a potentially amazing villain!

I honestly would have been more forgiving of Forces if they had given me a Shadow and Chaos fight. You know, the only reason I bought the game other than Episode Shadow. Here's to hoping for some more (not scummy) DLC!

I have a simple response for that...
To save parts, of course.
Think about it, how many times has Metal Sonic been destroyed... and then rebuilt? It must cost Eggy a lot of resources to rebuild him over... and over again... so... why not take advantage of the Phantom Ruby to make a Fake Metal Sonic that is just as formidable as an actual Metal Sonic and save the resources and time*, not to mention if the faker is destroyed, it can almost instantly re-create him almost unlimited times.
*...and rebuild the Real Metal Sonic in his spare time regardless, just to be safe!
