What happens when blood and water mix?
The Nocturns are technologically advanced and have a device or machine for just about any purpose, including subduing prisoners. The Stalis was used on Sonic to paralyze the muscles of his body, including his vocal chords. Because of his amazing metabolism however, the paralytic effects began to wear off sooner than his captors expected (which is why they decided to chain him down on his back.)
Now he's able to speak again, more or less, and... scream...

Per request, I've decided to continue this arc. My thanks to katstories , SMDKFan , shrkgal and Starsinger1 for their enthusiasm - and encouraging me to continue the story!
My new job keeps me pretty busy most days and I'm often worn out by the time I get home; so, art updates might take me a while.
