felt like messing with the colours. Not the neatest colours I've ever seen, but I'm more a traditional painter when it comes to colour anyway XDlines done during the manga workshop

I really love the folds of the dress and the colour and just the originality of her looking off into the mysterious distance within the fog. The only thing is perhaps the style for the fog contrasts with the girl a bit too much. She is drawn in such rich colour and dark line that the foreground looks dull in comparison. Maybe if you made the fog less dense it would be better.

there's nothing to stop you submitting a critique on comment. I won't yell at you, and if anyone else does I'll eat their guts because I don't agree on attacking people for critiques

This was my favorite part of the lines you did for the workshop. I loved how you were able to convey the sense of motion with just lines and now that you've colored it, I think it just heightens that sense of walking into the wind.

biro is amazing. because you can press light and heavy, but you also can't erase it. My pencil drawings are often failures because strange as it is to say, when I have access to an eraser.. I get really careful about the way I draw..

I sort of know what you mean. I think it kind of depends what kind of drawing I'm doing, whether I plan to ink it, etc. I tend to draw lightly and build up, so I don't use an eraser unless I decide I don't like an arm in the place where I drew it. But I love construction lines under a drawing, so yeah =3

I do draw lightly too.. I dunno just something about being able to erase it makes me really picky about my lines... so I prefer working in ink and biro. I love the unpredictability of it.

ink is especially fun.... mostly cos it blobs and all sorts and makes the work just look much more fun! As we have established, the more control you give me, the worse my work gets XD

I enjoy ink and paint and stuff myself. I usually just kind of do whatever I feel like atm, lol. The quality o fmy work usually depends on whether or not I'm in the art groove or not.

I was messing around when colouring it. So all the dress is actually shaded with the turquoise colour, but on different layers using photoshop filters like "exclusion" (which is the one that produced the purple)

photoshop is pretty awesome when it comes to stacking layers and manipulating color
