Description Just thought I'd post a picture of what I'm fiddling with at the moment. I got the wild need to buy some super sculpey and get my fingers dirty actually making something with my hands, and molding it. I wanted to start with something I was familiar with, and then move to my own creations, so I decided on the Newscaster Slig, because a. it's familiar enough to know from various angles, b. it's challenging to make, and c. Heck, it's Newscaster! Don't we all love that guy? I'll be making him a mic and a stand, and adding more detail eventually.

Thanks! I probably won't ever finish this one though... I'll have to try again with a proper armature. Maybe when I take 3D sculpture this year.

You know this looks great I have been a huge Oddworld-fanatic something like 8 years now. Sligs are my fav characters, cos they are so kewl ;3 and badasses.

Yeah, I've been an Oddworld fanatic since 98... as you can probably tell. Glad you like it! Maybe someday I'll not be a lazy bum, and actually finish it.

Yeah, but what do you think about Stranger's Wrath? I don't like it My favourites are the two first, Oddysee and Exoddus, they are so fantastic! Well, Munch's okay too but it doesn't feel same to play it.. Oh god I love Paramites and scrabs, but in 3D they are not the same (in Munch's).
Well, someone likes and someone not (and I hate my awful english).. But Oddworld is the best game/s in the world

I agree with pretty much everything you said. Stranger had some good points, like the environments towards the end, and the glocktigi, but yeah... not the same feeling, and don't get me started about the poor character design. However, I am really excited about the prospect of an Oddworld movie being made.

Yep, love to see how's that movie will come.. The character design in those 3D games, god.. :/ Maybe I'm bad Oddworld-fanatic cos I don't like Munch or stranger's wrath, but I really worship the Oddworld. Best thing ever

If you're a bad fan, then so am I. I think being a fan that cares about what they originally loved about a series says a lot, and that's how I feel about the old games, too. Beautiful art, fantastic, unique character design, empathetic and strangely compelling little hero, and a story that was quite different and cinematic.
