When are you going to get the lens already?

nasht-01 In reply to Fishermang [2006-05-06 05:38:30 +0000 UTC]

I still heve to decide...

I'd like to make the big jump to a 5D but if I cant... 30D will be my target (for now) and so I think that a Sigma 12-24 would be a better choice if I keep in mind a new change in the next few years.

heathen-rust [2006-05-02 06:26:12 +0000 UTC]

do you use the Cokin P system, or do you just hold the filter up in front of the lens while you shoot? just curious because I'm thinking about upgrading my filter set.

Wonderful shot of course, but then again, are all your shots wonderful

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Fishermang In reply to heathen-rust [2006-05-02 06:59:53 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, mang! Yeah, I use the Cokin filter holder(P system), they are pretty inexpensive. If you are using a wideangle lens, there is another larger version of the filter holder, so you can avoid vigneting. I can't, unless I am shooting in portrait format and don't use a circular polarizer

The way you've managed to capture texture in the foreground and include so much of it in your DOF is wonderful. Such a complimenting sky as well really

Fishermang In reply to Cristosea [2006-05-01 09:50:57 +0000 UTC]

I thank my lens. It was so close to the foreground rock - I doubted it would include the sky in proper focus as well. But obviously it did!
