The legs were velcroed and strapped on, the arms had grips on the inside I had to hold on to.

I actually sculpted it and made a plaster mould, then cast hot glue into the mould so ithas that kinda translucency and shiny look.

Then I stuck a hairclip into the cooling hot glue haha and painted.

The feelers are made from some zipties that happened to have the right lumpy segmented look.

Actual build time wasn't that long! Working out how to do everything did take a while though.

Oh! I got a 120cm orange wig off taobao, and airbrushed the brown gradients on. That wig isn't available anymore though, it's out of production.

Um um, I made everything out of eva foam actually (craft foam, but it comes in bigger sheets and thickness). So it's just a matter of making a hollow crab shell thing? I kinda just winged it based on reference pics, you sorta cut two shapes of what the 2d flat cross section looks like, then stick the ends together to make all the tubes. Spheres made with the general sphere pattern. There are stilts under the legs for the extra height. And her spines are just toothpicks and skewers. It's basically just a bunch of strangely shaped cylinder things, the paintjob is what gives it more texture and stuff

Oh the mouthpiece is made out of sponge covered latex over a wireframe because I specifically wanted it posable, but you can make a static version much more easily just out of eva. XD
