Description ....is gonna kick yo' ASS.

My friend has a wonderful little piece of fiction known as "Caity's World" and this is how I picture one of his characters, Kim-Na Yu. She's a ghetto girl from China Town in New York and every time she makes an appearance I can't help but laugh.

The story follows Caitlyn Camberley, a centaur, through intrigue and confusion in the not-so-distant future. It's nicely written and you get easily caught up in the plot. One minute, everything is cute and cuddly, the next it's dark and mysterious and hurtling along like a roller-coaster ride. READ IT NOW!! [link]

described Kim-Na as "a short, pretty Asian girl, perhaps in her early twenties, with long, straight hair, and she was definitely a centaur, half horse, half human. Her naturally-black hair had been dyed vaguely blond-ish in streaks to match her palomino coat, and she was wearing a tiny halter top, outlandishly-oversized gold earrings, and a gaudy blue belt. She looked like she’d been clubbing, and her breath stank of rainbow-colored mixed drinks." (Inker chap. 6) Going off of that, this is what I cmae up with. He described her coat as Palomino-colored so I had two choices: make her a palomino with white hair and blond streaks, or a buckskin with black hair and blond streaks. In the end, buckskin won over and here she is: my image of Kim-Na. I'll have to draw Caitlyn and others at some point, but there you have it.

Prismacolor and Copic markers on copic paper.

YU KIM-NA BELONGS TO . NO STEALING.

Hope you like it, Sean!

Butbut those look like Dunn markings moreso than palomino. o 3o

Palominos have sort of flaxen manes and butterscotch coats.

Dunns have dark manes and yellow-light brown coats. :3

Yes, I know the difference, but I pictured her more buckskin in coloring than palomino. And, a palomino is a breed, but dunn is a grouping of distinct pigments. And dunn horses have dorsal stripes, but buckskin is the color pattern commonly associated with dunn coloring, only without the stripe. So she's a buckskin in coloring, that's just how I pictured her: mostly because I wanted her hair and tail to match, black hair and flaxen tail wouldn't have looked good. :3
