Description This took an annoyingly long time to make...

Anyway. It's Jared/Clefspeare, from Bryan Davis' Dragons in Our Midst / Oracles of Fire books. He's in the garden in Second Eden. I believe this happened in Last of the Nephilim.
(Warning: if you're a Christian looking for good Christian fantasy lit, this is not the place to go. The books are okay at best but the author is a terrible person and it shows through a lot. All the spirituality in the series is based off of Dante's Inferno, not biblical truths. Just head's up. I used to be obsessed with this series and a friend of the author until I realized how damaging he was to everyone around him.)

Whatever. Man turning into dragon, that's all you need know. xD

I've met Bryan Davis and he's not a terrible person. He's very opinionated, but he is a good person, and he's always taken time out of his busy schedule to help new writers.

That's okay but it's not my experience with him so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Even so, saying someone is a terrible person seems pretty mean.

Man he was terrible to me and I don't want other kids who look up to him sharing the same experience. Get out with this

Normally, he's pretty polite, even when he does disagree with people, at least from what I've seen.

A lot of mean people are polite. You don't have to agree with me but the fact that you do does not negate my experience at all.

Mind PMing me and telling me what happened?

I don't mind putting it here. We were friends on Facebook for a good stretch of maybe four years. He constantly put up statuses like such: "I'm unfriending everyone who is displaying their bodies in a prom dress this week. Good Christian girls shouldn't be showing off their bodies." (And no, the prom dresses he referred to in that specific case weren't pornographic, it was just a bunch of girls who were excited to look pretty.) He'd put up blatant hatred for pop cultural things and add "I'm not interested in defenses for these things either" to people in the comments, and listen, it wasn't a big deal. Among adults on facebook this is unfortunately common behavior. But he had HORDES of kids, from age 12 and up, looking up to him and checking their own "bad behavior" as he dictated in order to stay friends with him. And you can't tell me they didn't because I was one of them. I became afraid to post certain statuses just in case he saw it and unfriended me. Than one day I realized this was all manipulative and hypocritical behavior coming from a Christian man and I unfriended him myself.
He's the worst kind of Christian, the kind that won't associate with the metaphorical leper. Who will only gospel to you if you've already heard the gospel so his beliefs never have to be challenged. I still regret not sending him a message when I unfriended him to call him out on his un-Christlike behavior.

He was also consistently rude to me on the forums so I took to avoiding the topics he would browse and stuck to my own threads until i eventually left the site altogether.
It's entirely possible he's changed his behavior since then, but looking at the voice he uses for his current facebook posts, I doubt it. I shudder to know what he posted when the rainbow icons flooded facebook.

I know he can be a bit hard headed when it comes to what he thinks is immodest, which hasn't been a problem for me because I tend to be pretty modest. (I have disagreed with him a little on the modesty stuff.) To me the whole, "I won't be friends with people who post X," didn't seem to me like he was trying to manipulate, but more like he didn't want to see stuff he considered immoral on his feed. I mean, I've unfriended or unfollowed a few people due to their politics, which I don't want to see, but I don't think that means I'm a terrible person.

That's not your duty as a Christian, though. Again, get out of here with this. Your opinion doesn't dictate my experience. I'm no longer a fan of Bryan Davis and his writing as mediocre at best at any rate so I haven't lost much.

Wow! Great animation!
Yep, I think it's from The Last Of The Nephilim.

I'm sorry to hear that you don't care for these works anymore. Yes, Bryan Davis does reference some extra-Biblical works in his book series, but he based the core materials of the story's theology on the Bible. That's the beauty of fiction ~ you can incorporate other fantastical works, but have the main of the message based on the Truth.

Anyway, fantastic job on this animation!

Yeah no it's cool and I LIKE Dante's Inferno, Bryan Davis is just a jerk in real life and I want nothing more to do with him after my experiences. Read the books if you like but stay away from the man.

Thank you!
