Description
Child of fire with the raindrops that keep leaving her alone in the dark... and she only wants to touch one. Just one, just once. That's all.Entry for 's Touch Something Unreachable contest.

EDIT: fixed the steam, evaporated water droplets should be a bit smaller, less substantial... mistier ^_^
Also tidied up a few bits that were annoying me, mainly due to doing this too fast, before (anatomy, mainly).
Closer look at the smoke dragon in On Smoking Wings
I think is less specifically personal as an artwork, because I spent less time on it and it was for someone else's theme. But I like to think I put my own spin on it, and it does embody something most people feel. I guess I don't like to dwell on that one and detach from it... actually, no. I think it's more that the story makes me too sad.

Hmmm, not so long. Most time was spent trying to start off something I wanted to draw, and later fiddling... of course, my idea of 'quick' seems to be getting longer with patience ^_^
I think it was a couple of hours, and then maybe another one or two fiddling.

yeah, wish i were still on holiday but i'm slowly reimmersing myself into DA again...
I think it's idea behind the picture, fire trying to hold the water but can't.... that's why I love it so much {plus it's lovely in and of itself}

Oooh, yes. That idea got me hooked and I redrew so MANY versions, most nothing like this. Then I'd start colouring for half an hour and realise it wasn't working and try another...
