I don't think many people realize that Christianity was NOT the oldest religion, or the only religion that ever existed. I met a few of the faith that are absolutely ignorant to this fact, and it irritates me to no end when they try to harbor on that fact. No.I do not believe in this religion, nor do I directly devote myself to a single one in itself. However, I do believe the ones that revolve around God or Allah to be truly blasphemous, and inherently violent and unaccepting of those who wish to deny it.
I believe the bible, the Torah, and the Qu'ran have various discrepancies and faults, because they were NOT written by God.
They were written by the human element. The human element has faults. There is substantial proof that a Pope changed the BIRTH DATE OF CHRIST to fit with Yuletide celebrations (I've read many sources that say the same, though, this may not all be true.)
Not only that, but they claim that those who do NOT believe in god are morally injust and susceptable to becoming criminals, pedophiles, murderers, rapists, etc.
I've claimed myself to be atheist countless times, though I sway with experiences that I've had, which is NATURAL for a human being. However, I denounce pedophilia and find it disgusting and wrong. Why? Children can not properly and healthily reproduce. Ever. Nor can their growing bodies cope with the stresses of an adult, whether CONSENTING OR NOT, entering their body. However, the prophet in the Qu'ran (I will respect muslims enough to admit I've no idea how to spell his name properly), had sex with a child.
I would never rape. Why? It's terrible, I cringe every time I heard on the news that it had happened to somebody, and I myself was put through that terrible ordeal. I would never wish it on anyone, ever. However, in Christianity, Lot was significantly raped by his two daughters so they could carry his children. Catholic priests are caught raping children every day it seems, yet the Papacy does NOTHING to combat or bring the priests to justice.
I could never kill someone. I was in a war, I had to do what I needed to survive, but I will tell you this now, that while I did not believe in many gods back then, I sent a prayer to Odin to bring their souls to their houses of peace. I cried, I wept, and even now I can't sleep because I see their faces. Yet the bible, a god that 'Loves and cares for his people' Had slaughtered them on countless occasions, and showed nearly no mercy every single time.
Note: I wouldn't have made the shitting stamp if I wouldn't have dealt with this problem directly. YES. There are Christians that believe/ are ignorant enough to believe that their religion was the FIRST and ONLY. YES.

I'm pretty sure it was Paganism that came first. Especially since some religions did ripoff some things from it. Like for instance, Easter\Christmas were actually Pagan holidays. But then Christianity took them.Β

Depends on what you mean...
If you're saying that Christianity, as a recognized religion separate from the Jew's, has existed since the days of the garden of Eden... Then no, Christianity was certainly not the first.
If you're talking about the belief in the God of Jesus Christ however...
Then yes, Christianity could be said to have existed under different names (including not having a name, or just being called, 'the People of the Book.'), since the beginning. Though God may have made a world with a history that says otherwise, somehow.
Though I don't know if there is any Christian denomination that actively preaches that... Or really considers it important to the Faith. Individuals may have concluded that on their own, but I can't think of any reason why it might be a sticking point. Unless they feel that they need to be either part of, or in a religion, instead of the Faith the true Christian Church is.
Afterall, religion is a secular definition meaning something that looks enough like our Faith that it is generally just accepted as good enough for street speak. It's part of the reason for Christian confusion over why Atheists/Atheism is so insistent that they can't be a religious organization/religion just because of the central belief revolving around the unproven supposition that they preach. Considering that there are those Religions that already have that same belief as part of their own system of beliefs...
