That is very beautiful. It almost makes me wish for snow. Which is something very rare. You did a great job love the way that she looks like she longs to be out side wondering the hill side.

O-OMG you too? *raises head from over what he hopes'll be a winter drawing* Seeing snow must have some sort of effect on people...
Looking at the piece and remembering your previous works, it's easy to believe you'd like winter You were always gifted with blues and whites, and that one season offers a plenty of both- and, as expected, you're putting them to a perfect use The picture is gorgerous for all its simplicity, the spareful colour pallette and basic, but very detailed design make it very elegant. I could easily see it as a postcard, and knowing me I'd probably buy it as well
The winter background is, well... Your trademark one. Which means made of win The moon is especially great, awesome work on the cloud surrounding it Not to mention the lighting, the snow landscape is haunting as well
It wouldn't be your work if you didn't outdo yourself on something, and here it's the girl in the foreground While the delicate details or the flowing, graceful fabrics are something to anticipate in your art, the light and shading on her went to a new level Congratulations on using two light sources at once, both in different colours on top of that- it came out perfect, the effects are mesmerising
Adding a couple of other small and charming details (frost patterns on the window glass ), it all comes up to yet another very beautiful piece ^____^ It really brings out the best aspects of winter! I hope the teacher(s) appreciated it as well- as of me, it's an instant

So oh true The whatever-that-season-in-between-was-called-in-English is really depressing. So dark too, without snow to reflect all th- Oh wait, I ranted about it to you one year ago, didn't I? Anyway, unlike almost everyone else here I'm really happy the winter hit us early, there's nothing more uplifting than seeing all this gloomy landscape turned pure white
Not to mention the first snow here was a diamond dust All the tiny sparkling snowflakes, it's so kitchy in a good way! I couldn't help but think how hard it'd be to draw it well enough to avoid being eaten alive by the critics... Good thing nature doesn't care and it can at least be seen live
I'd still say it'd defend itself as a perfect xmas card ^____^ It might not be very orthodox, but it captures the atmosphere of the holiday perfectly- to be honest, with all the warmth, calm, purity and safety the artwork contains it might have more of Christmas spirit than your run-of-the-mill xmas pic It's extremely neutral, too, so it seems like a perfect card for multi- culture countries that celebrate Christmas as a national holiday even if not all citizens are Christians It seems like a nice card to send to someone who doesn't take part in it, but still might enjoy it as a few happy days off It might be worth mentioning to the teacher if he has doubts about it! :>
Ah yes, the eternal dillema of "I want to fall into that big pile of snow face down without getting cold or wet" Now available together with "I want to wander the nearby forest or field, getting knee- deep in the snow without getting sick" in a limited winter package deal I honestly hate it how hard enjoying winter became since I stopped being a kid... I hope you at least have the health to have more fun

It does, a loose translation would be "the autumnal grays" Fall is a "golden autumn" here, btw- it's pretty spectacular here, so it got an over the top name, too
You're totally right, I only mean it as an emergency measure It's so much more rewarding to hear it from others, and talking about your artworks feels kinda lame I always think my pictures should be able to defend itself on their own and if I have to explain them to the audience with words, I failed as an artist It's something of a "if it were good enough they'd find all there is to it on their own, so instead of trying to convince them it's good I have to try harder" mentality... Does it happen to you, too?
Not to mention, there's just no better sign you did a good job than hearing the watchers talking about your piece I meant it just as something to keep up your sleeve if the teacher decides to pick on the "non- xmas character" of the artwork ; ) I hope the teacher will appreciate your work and you won't have to use it, though!
