Description
Two very affectionate twins with ankle-length hair - Mikel is on the left, and Kitsune is on the right. Tried shading with less lines, and a brand new B mechanical pencil. I think it turned out well. I really like Kitsune's face, but I really hate both their hands. I am realizing how fun it is to draw characters with nontraditional ears.Mikel and Kitsune (c)

Again, I envy your ability to draw flowy and fun looking hair. It looks like he's groping her, and she's trying half-heartedly to stop him. hahaha..
Drawing non-traditional ears ARE fun! But it becomes increasingly difficult to find a new kind of ear to draw that hasn't been done before.

I love the contrast between soft grainy tones and dark areas of hard line (especially in their hair). It gives it a nice sort of balance and sense of texture. The fact that you didn't actually outline anything makes it feel like a painting a little. It's nice

I used to outline my work a lot. I'm starting not to like it, though. I'm trying to wean myself away from like, lineart and go moreso into realism.

Something is different with this when you shade with less lines. A lot smoother, but somewhat less detailed on the folds. But meh, you're just trying it out so no biggee. The hair and faces are gorgeous X3 nice to see the commissioner is happy with the pic.
