Sheik, yay! This is a bit of a break from the harder pics, since I've at least drawn Sheik before (even though I can never remember which bloody side his hair is supposed to part on! XP).Angsty Sheik, this time ^^ I believe (see disclaimer) that Sheik may quite possibly have had his own personality somewhere in there... so what would it be like to have the Triforce of Wisdom be a part of you, then have it taken away?

I don't give two turds if you think he's female; I think the evidence indicates otherwise, and I have the courtesy not to come to your damn page and shout my opinion at you like you have to agree with me. DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE SHEIK GENDER ISSUE!
I say that for every piece of the Triforce there is a Maiden and a Warrior. Zelda was sent away for safety, but when the time came, Sheik used his part of the Triforce to summon her to the Temple of Time, sacrificing himself for Hyrule, as the Maiden and the Warrior cannot exist in the same location; the Triforce wants to be whole and would kill at least one of them. Sheik had somesort of suicide spell in place, to preserve Zelda and Hyrule's hope. It is a mystery as to who the Maidens of Courage and Power are, as Link and Ganon survived to the end of the game.
I came up with this, I like this, I think this works well. And if anyone hates it, you don't have to go with it, or even ever think of it again now. I believe that Sheik is a "he," and that disclaimer at the end made me want to share my theory.

Oh, the confusion associated with the bits and pieces.
Please don't kill me, as I don't really know, but was the Zelda franchise originated in Japan? If it was, it's not so uncommon for a female character to change into a male character (or vice-versa).
Examples: Sailor Moon- the Sailor Stars Saga was never aired in US because men transform into women; I think it's Ranma 1 1/2 - where a guy transforms into a girl if he's splashed with cold water, or something...
Anyway, that's my point; if I'm wrong, please don't destroy me!
But in relation to your pic: I LOVES IT!! It's so refreshing to see an otherwise "badass" character in a vulnerable position. (SSBM)

Actually, In the water Temple of TP, I have seen a lot of "up-skirt" shots of Link. They filled it with black pixels, nothing to see.

Oh wow. Your art is so clean and pretty! I absolutely love this picture - it's rare to see Sheik in a vulnerable state, and especially with such sexy hair.
And your comment about the Triforce is interesting. I never thought about it that way.

I must say that this is a fine Sheik drawing (he/she looks a bit femenine in this drawing, if you ask me, DON'T KILL ME!!!!).
As for your disclaimer, no, I'm not going to debate about this matter, just going to make a few observations about this controversy: You know, that if Zelda did really change genders from an early age and stay that way for seven nonstop years, this game wouldn't be rated E, due to all these sexual issues it may arise... too late, it did. XD

Except those issues didn't come up anyway, any more than the issue of who stripped kiddy-Link and put him into adult clothes was addressed. That's such a non-argument it's not even funny.

SSBM referred to Sheik as a 'she' in every circumstance anyway, but since Sheik still has the body of a male, that's presumably because he has Zelda's mind. Working on the idea that Zelda and Sheik don't have separate minds, you could easily call Sheik either he or she, and still be technically right.
Also, since Sheik is Zelda by default in SSBM, it's not at all surprising that they would let the character into a "girl power" match. He's just viewed as another one of her attacks.
