So, looking at everybody's awesome 'Legend of Zelda' art lately has got me itching to draw some more. But, for the mean time, here's some of my older stuff (that is to say, some of my older stuff which /isn't/ hardcore Link and/or Sheik pjorn - damn DA's content policy) that you might like ^^ This one is just a shot of Link with chibis (YOU WILL LOVE THE CHIBIS!) of his various OoT love interests. Most are obvious, but Navi is in there because of her unexpected parting confession in manga. Impa and Sheik aren't exactly canonical, but nor is there anything canonical against them, and they enchant me as potential Link-partners after their manga appearances (Impa for her motherly guidance of troubled Link, Sheik for his melancholy backstory and his devotion to Link).And don't give me any "u no shiek is zelda rite?!?!" posts. Yes, of course I know Sheik is Zelda's disguise. But he is also physically male, and the manga (which is official - it's just as much 'canon' as the game is, even if it's a different canon in the way that every game is) demonstrates that he clearly has an independent mind as well. Frankly, don't even try me - I've argued this a bajillion times before and I will take you apart, sweetheart ^.~ <3

Well, yes. The body change is made evident in the character's /appearance/, and we have no evidence that Impa /could not/ do it. I was using the dialogue to demonstrate the separate mind thing as well, because the separate body thing is already painfully obvious.

Actually, only Sheik's mind is male (that's CLEARLY stated in the manga, Impa cannot be that powerful). Plus the game canon is more official than the manga.
It's still beyond me why some fangirls prefer to overlook the fact that Sheik has the SAME voice as Zelda. Isn't it a total giveaway of Sheik's real gender?

Uh... that's not stated anywhere, ever. You're just deciding that yourself.

They're different. Neither one is more or less valid than the other, unless you begin by stating that one or the other is the canon you are discussing. That's totally a non-argument.

Well, no. Sheik has the same /voice actor/ as Zelda (at least in SSBM - I don't have the credits for the OoT seiyuu), but a deliberately different /voice/. Play OoT again - they sound very different, especially when Sheik screams during the Kakariko Village cut scenes. And while it's easily possible that Zelda might feign a more masculine-sounding voice the rest of the time, but not very likely she would be able to do so at a time like that.
Also, consider that Zelda sounds like a complete prissy little girl. Ergo, if Zelda and Sheik /are/ supposed to sound the same, Link (and for that matter Ruto, the other notable person who interacts with Sheik) would have to be an /utter/ retard to not realise that he wasn't talking to a guy. Now, I know Link isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I don't think he's /that/ dumb.
