First of all, thank you again for your review.
I guess I don't really understand what you're talking about in terms of shading. I stick to the style of the show. Yes, there is a scene here and there where they pronounce shading and lighting more, but for the most part their shading is but a single oval shadow underneath the characters and objects.
I chose a field because I wanted the attention to be on Twilight, the objects and the plot, not the setting.
Thanks again for your review, I am glad that you enjoyed it.

We're going to have to agree to disagree about the filly twilight matter, but what I said about shading is more or less meant for large scenes. Like the mountain. There were objects on the mountain that couldn't possibly have the shadow they had. I'm almost certain there was a frame where two shadows were facing opposite directions, but that was a big scene where details that are usually indistinguishable, (like the lack of shading of Twilight under the tree[completely invisible]) become very noticeable because of the size of the environment, and the viewers subconscious tendency to compare certain sects of a picture to others to affirm that the proportions are correct. Now if the fault doesn't stand out, I don't have a problem with it, but I still feel the need to point it out.

I'm not really one for words, but I'll try this. This is really cute. And original. I haven't seen , okay barely seen any, travelling comics. Hopefully you make this into a little series... I would love to see more. If not, I don't really see the point... I love the way, even though I know you used vectors, the way you placed them is perfect! (god, my laptop is lagging like hell)
I haven't really seen any Twilight filly around yet, and I just realised how cute Twilight filly is! I love the way you kept the dimensions of each panel small, but so we can still imagine how it would look like as, for example, an episode or so. Overall it was a good artwork and I'm happy to see something cute like this just before the new season starts! Keep up the good work!

I'm glad you like it! This probably won't be part of a series because I intended the importance of it to implied and what each reader makes of it. I have received some criticism for that, but ultimately that is how I wanted it to be.
Thanks for the critique, and again I am glad that you enjoyed it. ^-^

Okay! Because to me, it looks... Bare. I don't know. Not the comic but the fact we don't what's to happen. Will Twilight be the next Voldemort? Or will she rise to justice but not find friendship? You see what I mean?

OH! Would love to see the book actually relate to something simple; say not hugging a stallion that gave her a compliment so she could date him or some other frivolous little thing that can become a large to-do as in their stories. (Her not getting her report to Celestia for example) Then the whole paradox dilemma would be the joke as it was expounded upon for a trivial personal quirk. Ooo! Quills.... where are my quills...SPIKE!!!

Object paradox; she should be giving her past self a COPY of the book, not the book itself
(the copy purchased from a store so as not to create an Information Paradox)

she gave it to her past self, which means she will have it, so no paradox

RoboKitty In reply to spikestormify [2013-07-08 04:22:13 +0000 UTC]
No no no no no, look at it from the BOOK'S perspective
1) The book had to come from a store at SOME point, but that's impossible if "she gave it to her past self"
2) The book will slowly biodegrade as it constantly travels back in time. That's gonna make things awkward a couple thousand cycles down the line, eh?
π: 0 β©: 2
Arancaytar In reply to RoboKitty [2013-07-20 16:37:55 +0000 UTC]
If she buys the book in a store and sends it back, then from the book's perspective it goes like this:
1.) Produced, sold in a store to adult Twilight (who already owns it, but at a later point in its life).
2.) Sent back in time to filly Twilight
3.) Kept in a shelf without ever time-traveling again, until it degrades or is lost.
The stable time loop is still a paradox in that she only knew to send the book back because she already did; but it's only an information paradox and those come up in time travel stories all the time - including in the It's About Time episode. The physical item doesn't have to keep looping.

RoboKitty In reply to Arancaytar [2013-07-20 18:55:01 +0000 UTC]
"The physical item doesn't have to keep looping"
Then there's no paradox. Stable time loops are exactly that: STABLE. Information "paradoxes" only prove that time travel is itselfΒ writtenΒ into the timeline

RoboKitty In reply to spikestormify [2013-07-08 04:42:47 +0000 UTC]
Good, that means you're starting to see why it's a paradox
Again, trace the book's path. Twilight gives it to her past self, and it stays in her past self's possession until her past self becomes her present self. With me so far? Now, present-day Twilight sends the book into the past again, and it stays in her past self's possession until her past self becomes her present self.
See the infinite loop?
Now ask yourself: where did the book come from? The book was never printed, never bound into its hardcover form, was never actually sold at a bookstore. No matter how many times you trace the infinite loop backwards, the paradox never changes
