Day 126 of 365Took a very similar shot to this last year, the "Jesus sun halo" self-portrait. This was a really great sun halo though, I couldn't help it. This is the first halo that I've seen where it's clearly circumscribed (you can tell how the arc on top bends slightly outward around the main halo). Fellow photographer Mike Hollingshead managed to capture some even crazier atmospheric optics just north of my location. Check out his images here: [link]
