An adult Placerias is attacked by a huge phytosaur, Smilosuchus at a muddy watering hole in what would become western Texas. The Upper Triassic Dockun Formation has yielded countless vertebrate remains representing rich faunas of synapsids, archosaurs, and rhynchosaurs, among others.Related content
