Description

A lone Heptasuchus clarki, measuring 5 meters (16.5 feet) wanders across a drying lake basin in the late Triassic of what is now central Wyoming. This piece is the latest example of my recent obsession with this enigmatic "rauisuchian."

Also, this is the first restoration of Heptasuchus clarki on DA, or possibly anywhere...strange but true!

Another wonderful piece. Heptasuchus, sounds interesting. I have never heard of it, but you say it was a rauisuchian?

This one is great! And yeah, Fasolasuchus was quite the beast. Apparently about 10 meters (30ft) in length! That's crazy!

Thanks. I wish more was published of Fasolasuchus. It'd be a fun subject to work on I think. Like rauisuchians in general though, it's been rather neglected. Pity.

Rauisuchians are awesome. they turned dinosaurs into snacks. i can't imagine the damage the giant Fasolasuchus could have done.

A gigantic crocodile-like predator as long a school bus would be a spectacular sight!

yeah, it sure would be. its also rauisuchians and pristichampsids that inspired this beast of mine: saberrex.deviantart.com/art/Ne…

Very nice, and rauisuchians could use more love in my opinion.

Thanks. I've always had a soft spot for the buggers.
