Description Some traditional art for you! This time, you get to see some fan-art for the Tiger Saga series by Colleen Huock. I recently read the books, and I've got to say, I'm in love with them now. I especially like/liked Ren and Kelsey, as pictured here. Ren, the white tiger, is being read to by Kelsey at a circus in Michigan. Kelsey, who is an intern at the circus for a few weeks, has grown attached to Ren. The first book, Tiger's Curse, follows their adventures away from the circus and into the jungles of India.

I think I got Kelsey's hair wrong...the book said it was dark brown at one time, and the rest that it was light brown. So I kind of went in between, and added a bit of red streaks for good measure

Done with watercolored pencils and Sharpie. Used multiple pose refs for both characters. Probably took 12+ hours to get this baby done.

I'M SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT ONE :3 Who do you think Kelsey should end up with? I mean, I think Kishan deserves her, but I think Kelsey's meant to be with Ren. For some odd reason, I think Kishan will end up with Nilima O.o

I personally like kishan more than I like ren. I dont know why I just do. But we wont know till sept 4th....Such a long wait T.T

I agree with liking Kishan better However, I do feel that Ren will end up with Kelsey ('cause they're meant to be).
...Am I the only one that thinks Nilima will play a huge role in Book 4? I dunno, I keep thinking she's a mortal form of Durga or something O.o I mean, she and Mr. Kadam (I love that man <3) magically disappeared at the end of Book 3. Maybe I'm reading too much into it xD

Cool, an Ember non-digital drawing! The tiger part is great. Amazing. 0.o And I'm wanting to read that book even more each time you mention it! But I don't have any $$ for eBooks and the closest book store is over an hour away now. They keep closing down.
But great job on this!

Yep, I do in fact do traditional... occasionally :3 And thanks Lost! I used a lot of refs for it (as well at the Tiger's Curse book cover).
Yeah, I know what you mean The bookstores are going out all over the place. It's quite depressing!

Maybe you should try something on some old crinkly paper. It might give it a cool texture.
I hope they'll keep selling real paper ones online, some things just have to be read in person.

I'm a really slow drawer sometimes xD Watercolors especially, because you need to do so many layers just to get a dark shade.
