Kinds reminds me of a Primal Rage character. I think his name was SlashFang but he wasn't actually in the game, and I often forget it.

I like your work even though many of those Pokémons are very Digimon-like.

Japanese characters can often be mistaken for others because of similarities. In the translating process for Pokémon, the proper title for this trio is the Beast trio. However, the same character can also be used for the word "dog", and the name has often been mistranslated as the Dog trio.
However, if people actually OBSERVE and check references, the Beast trio is largely based on wild cats. Raikou has tiger characteristics, Entei has those of a lion, and then Suicune is based on a leopard. Despite the long muzzle, Suicune is referenced to Fujin the wind god (hence the name "North Wind") who happened to wear leopard skins, and the Kirin (horn with ability to purify water).

I read somewhere, maybe Wikipedia or serebii, that the mangaka said they are based on both dogs and the felines you have stated above. So technically they aren't just felines, they have attributes of both. If there's information somewhere that proves me wrong then I apologize, but this is the information I have found out from research since the beast trio are my favorite.

Even though Entei is based on guardian lions, sometimes people mistake the reference for that of the Shisa, mythical lion-dog beasts. Raikou and Manectric are both based on the same thunder deity, which could take the form of both a tiger and a wolf; however, Raikou clearly has no wolf aspects to it. Suicune has no canine (or lupine or vulpine for that matter) attributes at all. It gets its long muzzle from the Kirin, the creature it references. Also, their names translate to mean "flame emperor", "thunder duke" and "water monarch". (Suicune's name can also be translated to "crystal monarch".)
That's what I've learned, at least.
I'm hoping that X and Y will yield my (new) favorite trio: the Yggdrasil Trio. Why? Yveltal seems largely based on the eagle guardian that protects the top of the Yggdrasil tree, and Xerneas as the deer at ground level, aka the life-bringer. If there's a Z Pokémon, it will be based off Nidhogg, the serpent that eats the roots from the Underworld.

That's very interesting, I never thought of it like that before. Concerning Suicune though, where did you get that it references the Kirin? It's long muzzle makes it seem canine like to me than any Kirin I've seen. Though I looked it up on Bulbapedia, which might not be very accurate, but it does say the same similar things you do. That the beasts are based off of most likely several legendary creatures including the Qilin also spelled Kirin. Thank you for replying with this information, I appreciate it.

I cross-reference a lot, so I get my information from plenty of different sites and retain the more recurring facts. The Qilin is able to walk on and purify water with powers that reside in the horn(s) on its head. I've pulled various different lists of Qilin examples in literature and media, and practically every list mentions Suicune.
Why does everyone think Suicune is purely dog or cat when it has mixed features? And noting the muzzle, Suicune has no canine- or feline-like nose or mouth. If anything, it's like the Qilin's more dragonic muzzle. Plus, having the horn(s) arching back as opposed to straight forward is a Qilin aspect. Why does Suicune have paws instead of hooves like many common depictions of Qilin? Because plenty of other depictions also show Qilin with the bodies of large cats, but covered in scales. Qilin are usually depicted as cat-like dragons, unicorn-like dragons or deer-like dragons; the dragon aspects are always retained.
