To me, it's as if she was trapped under a vail of silk which should be very light and yet it's pressing her into darkness until she suffocates. It's as if she's trying to break free from the vail, just for a breath of air. She looks so sad, and yet so beautiful. So week and so strong at the same time. Almost fading and never giving up. That's my way of seeing it. And yes, I think this is definately the best colour for the picture, blue would make it too cold and green too warm. Red...it makes it mysterious and yet familiar and close. Definately a great piece of art.

Did you try to see what it would look like coloured in a cool blue? It may make her look colder and more distant. Just a thought.

Gorgeous. Such emotion and turmoil in her expression. I would like to see this in black and white as well, but as you said, you thought the red fit. But still, very worthy of a +favorite. From what I can see from your gallery, you have amazing work. I'd really like to see more of what you could do with ideas like this, that are more of your ideas and not just celebrity pictures (which I really love, but I don't see alot of artists who create from their own images from their imagination). Your Liv Tyler pictures is flawless too! Amazing job! But this is defianetly my favorite.

Thank you very much, it means a lot. I will actually start doing my own thing very soon. I have a lot of ideas, the only problem is time. The celebrity portraits were just for practise and not meant as real art, as it's just me copying a photo, and my feelings and opinions doesn't show through. That will change though.

Simply great!! And misterious. It reminds me the statues with the veil in the Chapel of the Prince of Sansevero.

I love this one, it has a delicacy like no other...when did you learn how to draw so well...and where? (if not self-taught) you're amazing!

Thank you. And it's basicly self-taught. I've learned the basics from "art class", but pencil portraits I kind of just figured out by myself.

Erotic suffocation...kinda like "killin` me soflty". Very sadistic. Artists have erotic experiences with their work, did u know? It`s sort of subconscious, so mybe u don`t. Think about it.

Hm, yeah this piece could have a little erotic subconsciousness. I think it's the hue which does that. It's much "colder" in reality. It wasn't meant to be erotic but it just kind of went that way. I really appreciate your view on this, thanks a lot.
