The consumate pro of the Aerialbots, he has always carried whatever team objectives or orders that Silverbolt issues with utmost precision and flawlessness that can be attributed to his innate ability to be calm in the face of tense and hostile situations. The greater the task and difficulty the more laser like his focus becomes. I didn't really did anything radical to Air Raid other than making his jet white instead of the classic all black number. Thanks. I am still learning digital media and colouring/rendering software like Photoshop but iam most comfortable illustrating and rendering the old school way, as i was taught that during my art school years. And that's also the reason why it takes me quite a long time to upload new pics.
The idea with all my Transformers Regeneration redesigns is creating an individualized and distinct look for each and every character. Even with guys like Prowl, Bluestreak, Ironhide, Ratchet, Smokescreen, the Decepticon Seekers and Coneheads, you will notice that not one character looks the same or is of a different color variant and that's intentional. I want to make them all unique.
Let say in sports like basketball, some players may have the same body build and height but are not the same. Why shouldn't the TF characters be like that, right? Unless you're doing identical twins type of characters, (Even then you'll see some differences) i would really prefer that they all have their own unique and signature "styling" if you will.
My idea with the Aerialbots is to create this Autobot Air Force squad with the leader, the silent wingman and the wise@$$ loudmouth. I'm going to add Sky Dive and Fireflight since a lot of my watchers/deviants have been requesting them so what do you suggest regarding their character profiles?

Not an evolution/edit of the original Marvel profiles, I mean.

Let me put it this way, iΒ based Silverbolt, Slingshot and Air Raid's character profiles on how i remember them in the G1 cartoon. So i worked on that, rather than the IDW or the Marvel comics version since most TF fans best remember that cartoon series.
I do want character traits for Fireflight and Sky Dive to NOT be redundant but rather complimentary to the rest of the Aerialbots. That's about it.
So we have the team leader, theΒ loudmouth wise@$$ and the silent and efficient ace. What else do we need?

Skydive in the original G1 is a bookworm while Fireflight tends to daydream while in flight. I kinda compare him to DCU's Shazam!/Captain Marvel in that sense that he has this childlike exuberance when flying but that's not a trait that will be helpful to the Aerialbots in battle.
Since Skydive is kind of an aerial nerd, he can mimic and duplicate any aerial flight maneuver that he sees since he studies these kind of stuff. Would rather read an aeronautics book than fight.

To be completely honest, I don't like very much to make big changes on the original profiles of the characters.
So my point of view is to maintain the original description and if you read my fancomics you can notice that I'm trying to have characters acting exactly like the originals so it's a struggle for me to imagine them different from the Marvel characters.

I understand. You just want to respect the original traits of the characters and their history and you should. I should. After all, Generation One is the one that started it all so in a way it's the peg/template for modern Transformers series and concepts.

Since there's this anime called Shingeki No Bahamut or Rage Of The Bahamut, i have decided to call my Dinobot combiner MAXIMAL to closely relate it to Transformers Beast Wars. It may not be Behemoth anymore but it still stand out against the Generation One combiner names, IMO.

It was inspired by the Gatchaman anime series, mainly the main character Ken. I wanted Air Raid to be sleek, heroic and very pro looking. Also, i wanted to try to veer away from the black jet that he has as alt mode in G1 and use a very versatile fighter jet to fully show his capabilities.

You hit the nail right on the head. When i was doing the Aerialbot redesigns, i was thinking more of actual fighter pilots and their ranks and personalities. Air Raid is the very calm and professional one. Silverbolt, the no nonesense squad leader and Slingshot? Well, he is in his own words, the "ace" of the team but to me he's the wisecracking loudmouth. So there you go. You've got the three basic personality types that you'll most likely come across with Air Force pilots.
Can you please comment on Silverbolt, Slingshot and the Aerialbots collage please? Thanks.
