Iβve been making a few sketches of Maya in her swimsuit and felt compelled to paint a few of them. I suck at backgrounds so I had no idea what to do (he pose indicates she is flying or something...?)Anyway, I ended up doing a whole bunch of simple backgrounds (and I still couldn't decide!) and my friend Ju helped me pick one from the bunch.

wow the shading and coloring is just fantastic and I love the style, I mean the shape of her arms and legs.
The background is fine, it suits the "context", but I'll go check the other ones too XD

Yeah, not everyone likes the anatomy; some think the arms and legs are too "thick". I kind of imagine her in an offset of the megaman style; it's like an SD hybrid of sorts; you get a developed body but exaggerated extremities.
