I've read in your other replies that you had written a story about all of your OCs, is it available here on your DA? I really would like to have a look at it cause it seems there's a real background behind your characters.

Oh I haven't written a full story but I've just discussed with people how it is planned out, the roles of the characters and basic storyline etc.

You know, my characters also have a whole background and story, but not like you can see in the comics featuring them in my DA gallery. All of this began with my interest for the rock band My Chemical Romance, but then went all over this when I started to write in august 2008 the past of my main character (named Gerard, a name that is quite old-fashioned but this is the real name of the band singer).
I got far over than fanfiction cause it happens in the 19th century, I get inspired from the real people's personality and some elements of their lives but here's no rock band and all that stuff.
This story (which I call "The Prelude") is about how Gerard went to town (a town like the underground, new-modern and romantic Paris of the 19th century) for his artistic studies, met various weird people and how he became a vampire when he woke up one night, covered with his own blood and left for dead next to a lake after a strange party, now endowed with a night-vision and the need of drinking blood as well as the fear of the sun...
He first wants revenge, but the ones who "killed" him cheerfully welcome him back in their artist's association, telling him that he'd better not get in trouble with them cause they're his last link with the "human" world...
He will be mistaken for a murderer by his girlfriend who doesn't like the sight of blood and will break up with him but Frank, his most faithful friend with who he seems to have a love will accept him as he is. But Gerard does not fully accept that side of his personality (he seems to feel self-assured, proudly vampire and also gay especially when he's drunk), people from the artist's group still make fun of him and he has to visit his family for Christmas...
This story is about how Gerard tuned bad, as well as his fight for accepting himself. Cause he's still a sensitive and romantic guy; the kind of shady one with middle-long black hair, pale skin and shadows around the eyes which give him a handsome or sick look whether he feels good or not.
But letβs not mistake him for the Twilight stereotype, as the real Gerard was he kept some fat from his youth in his cheeks which are round-shaped on the top (not in his cheeks only by the way), giving him a tragi-comical look with his lifted-up nose, bent-down mouth on the sides and determined eyes which we can see his despair through, even if he sometimes gets proud of "playing the vampire" with (more or less) innocent girls.
But then later at an art exhibition he will meet the filthy-but-mighty Bert that will have a great interest for this young artist, and welcome him at his mansion once Gerard broke with his parents and found himself without money.
And thenβ¦ I discovered Bert's character which is a witty, neglected-looking person who builds up his style in long blonde hair and a taste for military costumes. Whatβs more he plays theater in his kind of artistβs clique, has a talent in detecting liars and above all understands Gerard's feelings very well as he's a vampire himself, and is more experienced even if he still looks young. As for him, Gerard is quite fascinated by Bert although he keeps wondering what game he's playingβ¦
Just to say that it turned a lot longer as intended and is it not finished today, especially with the new things to come after Bert, the theater and the new people he met!
But I've already planned the things to come and how it's gonna end (if there can be an end for all of this...)
Well, this was long explanation and I didn't even ask if you were interested, but as for me I have a great interest in people's similar creations to what I do.
(maybe similar not in terms of story but more in terms of writer's relation with his character, thinking of what you sayed about making one's character suffer...)
