After a longer hiatus then originally intended, I’m finally back to drawing my OC aliens! I got one coming up shortly after this one too. I hope you like him!

Powers & Abilities
Parasitic Hivemind - Scarasite possesses a symbiotic relationship with a colony of worm-like entities that inhabit his body. These worms steadfastly defend Scarasite from attackers and Scarasite can also command them himself and use them for a variety of uses.
Life Siphoning - Scarasite’s worms feed on Mana and can siphon it from any living being that they latch onto and transmit it to Scarasite. Due to the large population of worms Scarasite possesses, he can siphon Mana from multiple sources at once.
Life Force Attacks - After Scarasite’s worms have absorbed Mana, Scarasite can concentrate it into a potent “corrupted” form and project it into a variety of powerful projectile energy attacks, his most notable techniques being his “Shadow Balls” and boomerang-like “Shadow Cutters”.
Spore Breath - Scarasite can breath shadowy purple spores in the form of a cloud that can be used as an effective smokescreen to hinder sight and get the upper hand in battle.
Enhanced Speed & Agility - Scarasite is a very swift and agile alien as he possesses levels of speed and agility far above a human being and even exceeding the likes of Arachnichimps and his speed increases the more Mana he has stored.
Enhanced Jump - Due to his strong and springy legs (underneath his cloak) Scarasite can jump more then thirty feet in a single bound.
Night Vision - Due to his kind’s troglodytic nature, Scarasite can see very well in the dark.

Weaknesses
Frail Body - Scarasite is what you would call a glass cannon, he is as frail as he is fast and he excels as a long ranged fighter and keeping enemies at a distance as he can easily be overpowered physically by a human of above-average condition.
Low Energy - Scarasite derives his energy attacks through the Mana he collects from other living things and thus, he is unable to attack if he hasn’t absorbed any Mana and he drains himself of the Mana he collected with every attack.
Chemicals - Scarasite is very vulnerable to acids and strong chemicals.
Fire - Scarasite’s body is naturally very flammable and he can catch on fire with the smallest spark.
Sensitive Eyes - Scarasite is very sensitive to light due to his kind being used to living in underground coves on a pitch black planet and can be blinded by the sun or even by a simple flashlight.

Scarasite’s name is a portmanteau of “scare” and parasite.
The name of Scarasite’s race is a portmanteau of “proglottid” which are the individual segments that compose a tapeworm’s segmented body and “troglodyte”, a term for an animal that lives in caves or underground.
The name of Scarasite’s planet is taken from Cestoda, a family of parasitic flatworms that include tapeworms.
Scarasite’s design was inspired by a concept for an alien predator made by Tom Perkins.
Aspects of Scarasite was also inspired by Night Cap from Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville.
