Description Mass Effect Systems Alliance Marine armor I made for Dragon*Con 2012. It's EVA foam.

The helmet was made by Eric J. (JarmanProps) who was kind enough to let me wear it for these pictures.

The gun is by Project Triforce.

I made everything on the armor except for the hip pucks. Punished Props made those for me.

sure. just get some floor mats from harbor freight. a hot knife from michaels or hobby lobby, a heat gun from harbor freight and some hot glue and play around! just make some templates for the pieces out of paper and go from there. a lot of it is trial and error and you have to work with the medium to get a feel for it.

how did you go about cunstructing the back?

Frijoleluna In reply to Volnutt183 [2013-08-26 02:13:00 +0000 UTC]

Well, I have the 2 foldedΒ  guns on my back that I made out of EVA foam. I glued some hard drive magnets to them and then glued some other hard drive magnets to the armor itself. The result: removeable guns.

My forearm pieces utilize 2in elastic strapping with velcro glued on them. They stay tight and they stay put.

Say can I get some help on making some forearms for my build? I'm remaking them since I beefed up my OC Helghast design and I plan to do that to the Shoulders as well and I need help brainstorming a plan of action. Please respond back asap. Thank you

What might you be having trouble with? strapping? Curving?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

OnsoulTheLostHelgast In reply to Frijoleluna [2013-04-28 04:45:03 +0000 UTC]

Well that issue has been taken care of a bit but, how can I make it stay in the exact same spot without strapping it to the shoulder pieces?

If I ever see the guy who made the pitiful attempt at a helment, I'll punch him in the ding dong. Hard.

Is there any advice you could give on how to obtain all this stuff? I'm looking to get one. Whether I have to build or buy doesn't matter, I must get SOMETHING! If you could tell me where to start that'd be great, I love this picture.

I did not build the helmet, it was made by Eric J. (Yodajammies). He let me where it for the picture.
