Description
A secretive wing of the government group SHIELD called the ORB decided to create their own superheroes. They patterned their agents after spiders. The ORb was shut down after their true agenda to create super powered sleeper assains was uncovered. Several of the agents were re-acclimated into SHIELD such as Black Widow and Spider Woman, and this lady. Val Cooper met college friend Julia Carpenter in Julia's hometown of Denver, and convinced her to be part of an "athletic study". She was unknowingly a test subject in their experiments. During the experiment, they "accidentally" injected Julia with a mix of spider venom and exotic plant extracts, which gave Julia powers very similar to those of Spider-Man. Whereas Spider-man's powers were not physical in nature, Arachne's are.Related content

OK, so time to poke and prod your continuity again: Black Widow is stated here to be made by ORB, but in her bio she's a century old Russian agent.
Also, I assume the power contrast you're talking about here between Arachne and Spider-Man is the webbing? Because his wall-walking is stated as natural, as is his strength and endurance

Black Widow: The 2 are reconcilable. If she is a century old Russian agent, it stands that she could have joined ORB, later or was ORB a faction of the KGB? Mystery abounds....
Spidey got his powers from 2 diff sources, the weapon X program and ORB. The powers derived from the venom were duplicated in Arachne.

Someone asked if there was going to be an Amalgam Revolt. I thought that might be a cool idea. As for a straightforward crossover....maybe, if I come up with a story.

Both. I have at least one more leg of the Batman story to do for DC Revolt. And I really wanna touch on Teen Titans, Zatanna, Cyborg,all of the JSA, and a very special Star Girl for bkno who has been way more than patient, and I am proud to say, I finally found the right avenue for her. I also had a story called "Brainstorm", and I haven't even gotten to Darksied. Lots of stuff, just have to find time to put it to paper.
