I'll wear my heart where all can see!Hmmm, yeah, now that that's out of the way!
Another Jabot I whipped together, kind of the Valentine's theme going, obviously.. an interesting crinkle, somewhat metallic sheen fabric, and little heart-shaped button sewed on the neck band..

Eh, kinda hard to explain with out pics, but it a neck piece( like a shirt collar) with a rectangular bib piece cut as far as you want the ruffle to hang down, with tree tiers of fabric of three different lengths attached to it, with the smallest ruffle at the top, and the longest ruffle at the bottom.

I think adding the jewel was a very sweet touch! The fabric is really interesting to me, too, because it reminds me of tissue paper...not meaning that to sound bad or anything. I quite like the texture of tissue paper! But anyway, tissue-paper-like-valentine-jabots remind me of valentine's presents...which makes me happy.
In short; it's sweet and I love it!

Really? That's interesting! Even though it's lovely in itself, if you would have left it without the jewel as a little accent then it would have looked plain. Still very beautiful! The jewel really just adds a certain POP! to it that makes it stand out. So lovely!

Well, I had a few other buttons I was thinking of useing, and in person it has a nice subtle metallic look about it, so I was debating as to whether the fabric would be enough by itself or not.

Thaks! The crinkly fabric was a pain to work with, but it came out soooo nice... I'm think I'll get my sis to snap a few pics of me wearing it that I can post on Valentine for fun.
(incidentally, I have this fabric in a purple color that I'm makeing in to a jabot... I think you'd like it.

Sadly all I have is just enough to do a few samll things, I found that and the red in a scrap bin in a fabric store back when I frist stareted sewing.

hmmm that too...hey! You could make a 'quilt' then make a skirt outa it...I seen a pair of pants someone was wearing that looked like they did that...was really neat. All of the materials they used consisted of like...2x2 inch or smaller squares of material...was quite the eye catcher...
