A capelet I recently made. It was inspired by some design work I'm doing on a Mouth of Sauron costume for my sister. It is a crinkle rayon lower section attached to a cotton velvet yoke. The rayon is gathered in raised lines or "ribs" Each one of the "ribs" ends in a slight point, giving it a slightly serrated bat wing edge. It is unisex, and will fit a size small to medium easily. The front of the cape edge stop just above your elbows, and the back falls just below your rump.

Where did you get the pattern for this? I have 3 yards of purple heavy wool fabric, and I want to make one

I love the pin tucking and the pleating ^_^ the rayon has such a nice flow, and the different tones of black work nicely. Good trim too ~grin~ I hope someone buys it.
