*joy weepage* The computer is working properly again!Sooo this was the first of many doodles and crap that have been sitting in my art pad. Whilst doing some further research into death myths and stuff (and yes, I am aware of how unhealthy that sounds), I came across a site that I had not found in my previous adventures. This one happened to talk a bit about Persephone, and said her name meant "she who destroys light," which I personally thought was pretty awesome.
... In any case, it didn't make me think of what Sesshoumaru's name means, which "Bringer of Destruction," does. Having those two in the same thought is an odd mental combo, to say the least.

cool. and its ok.... my mom thinks that I do a lot of things that are 'unhealthy sounding' probably mentally unhealthy as well as physically... like practically worshipping Stephenie Meyer..... which I do not consider unhealthy at all..... well maybe a little....

Beautiful! I love the purple hue throughout it all. Destroyer of lught...that's kind of weird for Persephone (I think) because she was originally a happy peppy spring child before becoming Queen of the Underworld...

That's what Sesshomaru's name means? I thought it meant something like 'Destroyer of the Circle of Life' [allusions to Tenseiga's power?] Though it also translates to 'Round Biocidal' with my automatic translator.

^^ I'm happy that you like it... I wasn't really sure what I was doing when I sketched it, but then I really liked how it turned out so it was necessary to color it. I'm glad that I was able to keep her eye looking the right way even after coloring... that transition is always scary.
Well, on wikipedia it says that in the character guide or whatever, Sesshoumaru means "Destruction Man." Which holy crap makes me laugh waaaay more than is probably warranted, but oh well. So yeah... about the same. Round Biocidal. XD Good lord.

Hahaha... well, I think you would probably be a bit disappointed with the lineart for that one. It's pretty much just her head and a bunch of random scribbles where I wanted her hair to generally go. And when I say random scribbles, I am being quite literal. *nod*

Literal translations are full of yey. Translations in general are full of yey. Back when I was a rabid LotR fan, I found a site that had what the bootleg copies had for subtitles. It was amazingly awesome.
