Description
This is the pot I made in ceramics this year. Raku fired it with white crackle and low fire glazes. I won a blue ribbon for it in a recent art contest. Hope you enjoy it too!Related content

Is it really? I love that about ceramics; just as there's unlimited ways of sculpting the clay, there are multitudes of combinations of glazes, washes and stains one can use to colour the piece.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn that's good! I SUCK at ceramics--drawing and painting is more my thing--and how in the HELL did you keep it from falling apart in the kiln? It looks like it woulda drooped from all the empty space!

I love the way the blue glaze works its way gradually into the clay, the elegant network of shapes cut out of it. Beautiful work!

I'm glad to see other types of art as oppose to drawing and music. Unforunitly, most people call it clay scluptures and it comes out badly. This, I actually mean, is good.

What sucks about being better at sculptures is that you can't apply for many art scholarships with them. They want the original version only! (which means if it ain't on paper, it won't work)

The lines have a little meaning. It represents this design I made that starts as a center (circle) and flows into something more complicated and beautiful. If I can find the design I made on paper, I'll show you! (thanks again though)
