The night sky shimmers dimly with the light of the stars and the full moon. Everything is quiet as Rouglao found himself in the forest. It had been a few nights after finding the talking dragon. Everything seemed to be calm. Until a groan breaks the silence. The voice belonged to a female for sure, but it wasn't Fuji. In the brush, there is a woman, covered in purple cloth. She groans, the voice now sounded vaguely familiar. The woman shifts, making her wince as she pushes herself up. Her footwraps only betray abnormally formed feet. Two furry ears poke from the pulled up hood. She tries to move once more, only to fall back down, groaning in pain. What do you do? She's clearly in great pain.

''Are you alright? Do you need help?'' enquired Rougalo.

It was strangely becoming normal for him to find creatures not known of this forest. First, there was Fuji, a very strange demon. Then came this miniature cat fancying a taste for saké. Then, only a few nights ago, he found a dragon. And now, there was this... girl? He wasn't sure, but who ever and what ever it was, she was in great pain and he could feel it.

All the reply he got was some more groans as she clearly tried to get away, but the pain was enough to stop her. He started to wonder if he would be able to help someone in such pain. It was Akita's thing, not his. But, to the eyes of anyone else, this girl would be suspicious and would end up in much more problems. She wasn't malicious, he could feel it. Thus, he genuinly wanted to help.

''I mean... I am not a healer, but... I can always try?

The girl stopped moving, as if his words seemed to reassure her. He took his chance and crossed the bush separating the both of them. He raised his hands a little, showing he was unarmed. Despite her pain, she seemed to relax.

He took a few more steps toward her before kneeling onto the ground. Now, he was able to have a better look at her. Her greens eyes were shining into the night as if night was unable to veil them. Scales seemed to cover parts of her face. In fact, she even had wings and a long scaly tail. Was she another type of unkown demon or just an unkown species? How would be able to heal her? He started to doubt himself even more and regret his curiosity. But now, here he was and he didn't feel like abandonning her.

''I... I don't know if I will be able to do much, but... I do have saké to relieve the pain.''

As he spoke, he slid his hands in his jacket and grabbed the alcohol. Then, he showed it to her.

''It's... nothing fancy... but it does the trick.''

''That will do.'' she said in between groans.

Rougalo was somehow taken by surprise when she spoke. He was... kind of expecting she wouldn't do, but her voice had something familiar. She souded like... the dragon?

''Are you... did we...?''

''Yes. We met before.''

''Oh... right...''

He didn't know what to say, but handed her the saké. She seemed thankful to have something to drink and even more that it was saké.

''So... 'want me to try healing you?''

She seemed hesitant for a moment, as if she didn't trust him yet. Or as if she didn't believe him to be able to.

''Just tell me whre you are hurt and I will do my best, alright?''

She looked down as she groan some more.

''I am simply sore, that is all.'' she finaly said.

''If this is all, I should be able to fix that.''

She took some more time to ponder before noding. This was all that he needed to get closer.

He extended his hands, preparing his magic, hoping he would be able to do some good. His hands started to lightly shine green. He never understood why his magic had a green hue, but it seemed to work fine. However, he prefered to hide it since it never saw someone else with that same hue in their magic. He knew of white, blue-ish and gold hue, but not of green.

Somehow, it didn't seem to deter the girl. So he kept on healing as much as he could. It was a draining task since he didn't know how to manage his magic, but it seemed to work. He was hearing far less groaning coming from the girl. She even looked like her breathing was getting better. Her worried look started to relax to a more neutral one, almost appreciative. He was happy to see she was feeling better, but kept quiet. He was getting so sleepy that he wanted to complete his task before anything else.

He closed his eyes a moment, hoping he wouldn't fall asleep while performing his healings.

But he failed to resist.

The vague smell of saké and a genuine ''Thank you'' brought him to sleep.

Okay, so... that was unconventionnal of me to respond to a question that way. I know I usualy do comics and people expect comics by now. So why did I do that?

First, the situation VampiricLepara wrote is almost one year old now! Gosh I feel bad I put this on on hold for sooo long, especially when VampiricLepara seems to appreciate my character Rougalo a lot. I told her back then I would do it as soon as possible and... Gosh, I can't say how sorry I am. I truly am. I don't like to make people wait like this. So I hope you can forgive me for this.

So, second, I wanted to make it a bit more special. I wanted to give proper time to the situation and have something to enjoy, sadly, we are having a third heat wave here and I am sticking to the paper when I draw. I did do a preparatory sketch of what I wanted to do into a comic and started working on it. I was even planning to color it. But as I worked on it, I saw it would take me more time than I was ready for in this heat. Also, since I wanted to develop the answer more than usual, I figured a good alternative to it would be to write a little story, but in order to not waste the work I still tried to put onto the comic, I completed the first panel, I decided to add it here as well. So this is why it doesn't look much like the usual drawings that I do. It was supposed to be part of a comic strip.

Otherwise, I don't have much to say that I am, once again, very sorry about the whole thing. Sorry about the wait. Sorry it isn't a full comic. Sorry if it isn't what any of you expected.
